I'm lost in this nonsense argument. They are not the publisher selling his stuff on a store, it's a giveaway. The game publisher provided Humble Bundle with a finite amount of keys for this game to giveaway. There is no mistery here. Move on to the next big thing...
As far as I know it was all about the fine line between different wording... no they don't have to worry about "copies" in the sense of the word, as in copies of physical data storage (discs) with the files on it, but they do have limited "copies" in terms of unique keys to give away. / peacemaker All in all good to gift something away for free, I missed it, but I have to admit those Lego games aren't really my cup of tea.
