Can you not do graphs like this? I really think it is misleading.
    Graph should start at 0fps...

It's a way to zoom in at perf differentials when they are small, but sure I can understand why you ask that. I have added normalized charts as well.

Fairly small uplift in performance but with Wolfenstein 2 already running well on the RTX cards I guess it’s to be expected.

I’m looking forward to seeing what Doom Eternal runs like on these.

Far, far better representation of the results in the normalized charts. Thank you HH.

I expected more, but I think that it depends on developer's decision. And those ~5% is not bad, it may allow you to use some other effect you would otherwise opt to disable.

    Smart idea.

Let's hope we don't get the same complaints from a small number of people as with depth of field, i.e. simply not realising that normally we do not focus on anything other than what we are looking at.

'we see very little image quality degradation'
The tech works by reducing quality in areas you are less likely to notice.
It would be nice to see some real screenshots to show the difference in IQ at the different adaptive settings.
From the slide titled 'content adaptive shading':

This appears to show at least some loss of detail, but the original shots were not taken from the exact same perspective so it's hard to say for sure.

So whole 3% improvement and worse image quality, no game changer at all, maybe it would be cheaper just decrease filtering quality with existing features for same effect :)

Funny...I can't get the game to run while Afterburner is running. I get opening screens, then everything goes black. Steam forum for the game, other users have the same issue. To get the game to run, you have to shut down Afterburner (running the 4.6 latest beta for Turing)

Other reviews also noted no change in visual quality, but at least the tech works right?
And together with the other Turning performance enhancements should bring 4K @60 fps just a step closer for cards just under the ceiling.

Not a big fan of having to use "cheap" tricks on high end cards to increase performance... Although using tricks seems to be the only way forward because we are going to hit a wall regarding the size of future GPUs...

We might even need a semi NSFW picture, with RTX on with a brazzers logo, you know cause people took it ten folded in the as*.... always when you buy a Nvidia product.
