Using SLI (Short Life Interrupter) so they can put each other out, it could work!

Put waterblocks on them and rig to explode the liquid contents in the event of fire.

Since EVGA just declined my stepup (I don't understand why they offer it to me just to decline it...) I'll just sit back and not have to worry about my 1080Ti. Best of luck to all the folks on 2080Ti's that are losing sleep right now.

Hey weird one, artifacting from my previous card carried over to my new one. Reinstalled Windows 10 (this was after the October update) and everything is back to normal.

Very weird. Saved myself £100 tho.

    Edit:
Actually, I think this is something else entirely. Artifacting when discord is open, artifacting when watching videos back in either MPC-HC or MPC-BE.

Windows 10 Pro with October update (100% fresh install), latest Nvidia drivers, 2 monitors, 2560x1440 144Hz with Gsync on, 1920x1080 60Hz.

Does anyone else have a similar setup they can check? Turning off GPU acceleration on Discord seems to have fixed the artifacting there. Issue does not persist if I turn off second monitor, and seems to be related to low power clocks as I notice it flickers most while changing from 405 mem to 7000, and 300 core to 450~ish.

Plugged in my old 1080Ti again today which exhibited none of these problems.

Good video on the ongoing 2080 Ti failure discussion.

And I have to say, Steve Burke is one of the very few youtubers worth listening to.

He backs every assertion with research, testing and hard facts; just plain excellence.

Well, I rma'd my dodgy 2080Ti and so far im impressed by nvidias response. They are advance shipping the replacement before they recieve the dodgy card which is a nice touch so it should be here in the next couple of days. Shipping is also pre-paid - which should be expected these days I guess, but ive come across a number of online retailers that still insist you pay for the return.

Fixed my flickering issue. Despite the flickering happening on my second 60Hz monitor, turns out having my 144Hz monitor running at 120Hz on desktop (was still getting the higher than normal idle clocks at 144Hz) is what caused it, running 144Hz on desktop fixes this issue. Driver bug?

Was your GPU purchased in the last 90 days? The step up is open to everyone, as long as you have a qualifying product.

Yes, I did get in the queue 2 days before my 90th day after purchase. It's a whole long series of emails, but here is what it boils down to.

The place of purchase does not comply with the programs terms & conditions.

Funny thing is that EVGA is the place of purchase, since my card is a fresh RMA. I sent many emails explaining this and many other facts, but I'm done with it now. Saving money for a 7nm AMD/NV GPU.

New msi trio bios update out. Actually I don't know when it came out but I must have missed it. It's on techpowerup. Just flashed to it and seems good so far.

Just wanted to chime in here after lurking for years. First thanks to all of you with your help, tips, and information, it really helped out. So after months of trial and error and 2 RMA's, I am glad to say I have finally got BFV playing on 2 x 2080 Ti in SLI with DRT on the PG348Q STrix 3440 x 1440 in ULTRA settings and everything. I use the medium DRT setting for BFV because the ULTRA drops fps down to 50FPS in DRT intensive maps, (Rotterdam, etc...). It took alot of effort and money to get here, but there we are...

You know that SLI does not work in BF V using DX12 right?

The second GPU is doing nothing.
