    Hi all,

My system is 8700k, ASRock z370 Extreme 4, Kingston Fury 3466. MSI GTX 1070 and 1250w Enermax PSU.
Tests are ok, but video work only with 8x pci-e lanes. Latest bios and OS patches.
On second video slot GPU-Z says 4x. Tested with no others pci-e devices and no M2 ssd.
Tested with different video cards (270x, 1060)
When I put my CPU in other similar system, result is the same, only 8x.
Never tested other cpu on my system.
So i have no more ideas.
    Anyone with same experience?

    Hi,

Did you try to manually force 16x pcie3.0 in uefi bios? There should be this option somewhere by other/system components/ pcie something something :)

Also it could be deliding fault, I've seen some that had bad memory controller because of it.. Not 8700k per say, I think by 4770k and 6700k's.

In bios I can adjust only pci-e gen version, but it's already 3.0
Also tried previous bios, same s**t

If the other system works at 16x and you swapped 8700k in there and it went 8x, your cpu is damaged somehow.

I have the same board/CPU/GPU and get PCIe x16 3.0 @ x16 1.1 which changes to 3.0 when I do the "render test".
