I think the card is factory overclocked? SC2? But I haven't done any myself. And the game ran flawlessly before the 400.xx drivers. Nothing has changed other than the drivers. Just hate to go back a branch like that.

That washed out deal is a problem with the implementation of HDR. It blows. It's basically toggling on the Windows 10 HDR (fake) mode which also, depending upon your set, limited RGB. I've also had one DX crash running in DX12 mode.

    - First post updated with Clean 416.16 WHQL x64 for Win 10 (Win 7/8/8.1 ver. is currently unavailable for whatever reason)

    411.70 r411_58-9
    416.16 - r416_10-4

    P.S. @ShadowDuke
Thanks, Shadow, I actually had links ready and files uploaded, was just waiting for Win 7/8/8.1 versions, but they still aren't up. I guess will update later whenever Nvidia uploads them. Gj with the fast upload! ;)

I assume no, but try to test it. Nothing will break, simply won't work if it's reliant on it.

@Thunderbolt8 you don't need that folder for Optimus to work.I'm also on laptop with eGPU and Optimus works just fine without it.I think from what i've read in one of the files in the folder is needed for Geforce Experience which i don't use anyway.

so that's how they'll force users to switch to win10 malware :-(. at least gamers.
I thought they would first drop support for games under 7.
I guess i'll stop playing any new games.
at least I wont have to spend cash on a new GPU every few months, so congrats nvidia for shutting yourself in the foot :p.

Did your previous Win7 driver exploded or something?

need to move on bro, you can't stay on win 7 forever, unless you want to be left behind. imagine if those people who moaned about anything past 3x stayed with that.

Also why a new card every few months? there is something wrong there. But alas, you want current games, its wise to keep with current tech.

@DW75 Thanks for the link, I can assume that this specific driver was developed specifically for Win 10 RS5 release (works on my 1607 without any issues thou), but one can assume Win 7/8 drivers will follow shortly. After all, we have lots of titles coming out in next weeks, will be dumb for Nvidia not to support them in 8.1/8/7 considering the popularity of the latter one.

Indeed. Next driver should be Win7/8 again but what the guys above me said is also true.

Same problem here: Montior will show for a brief mini second a black screen which results in flickering/flashing.

    RTX 2080 416.16 Driver
    Win 10 1809
    34" 3440x1440 Monitor no G-Sync

Ok, got it Fixed, by installing Windows 1809 completey fresh. The Update method from 1803, did something wrongt at least here. The Flicker/Flash looked always like the explorer.exe crashed and restarted itself, so I looked in the control panel in the "events" and I was right, the explorer crashed, So I reinstalled windows. And the problem is after 1 Day of testing gone. :)

So no driver issue or GPU Issue. :)
