Nvidia Geforce 416.16 WHQL - Download & Discussion

This driver does not delete the "NVIDIA" folder on C: when installation is finished, previous drivers would do it. Can anyone confirm that?

 

The folder was deleted after I installed this driver

 

The NVIDIA folder will automatically removed.

 

hmmm driver will not install for me, i have a gtx 1080 and it keeps saying the standard NVIDIA driver is not compatible with this version of windows.

im also on the latest windows 1809

It doesn't matter. Game dev must support SLI (mGPU) either way.

smooth drivers, eradicated slight stutter in far cry 5 for me, keepers.

 

SLI died years ago. It's why nvidia don't even talk about it that much. Not to mention most devs don't use or even care about it. Steam survey can tell you a lot also. Very very few even use sli. Just because nvidia add a few SLI profiles, it don't mean sh*t. They did the same for 3D.

 

For those not getting the new windows 10 update 1809, it's being staggered just like it has been the last few years. Some will get it right away, others will get it later. Some may not even get it at all if the update detects that your hardware isn't compatible.
You can always force/get it through the windows creation tool.

Found my first problem since I updated to this driver - GTA 5 gets a d3d failed to initialize error if I try to run it with DSR set to 4.0 with fullscreen (borderless fullscreen works though)

Anyway, this driver install did not reset the settings and turn on the tray icon this time (had clean install checked as always).
