Affordable? My ass is affordable. Thats almost a whole Portuguese salary for a stupid monitor. Sure it delivers goddies for the price but thats not cheap. Im so sick of the hypocrisy of the rich western societies; lots of people on the other side of the planet making a buck or two a day to go eat some rice and vegetables and you guys calling a 500€ monitor affordable. Anyway im just grumpy because im poor.

Nothing special about this monitor. Might as well just hook up a 4K LG tv since it’s only going to run @ 60hz. Then switch to Game Mode to cut down the input lag.

Looks exactly like the LG 27UK600 only difference is the Panel (IPS). Not a bad choice if they also offer a 27" version of the VA panel for console gamers.

It's more expensive than a TV set from LG with same size and performance (and Asus do a better monitor with same perf for 50 Euro less)...
    So why chose this one?

*edit* Samsung, Iiyama and Acer are at 399 Euro for same product right now...

Sure, but not at same picture quality and with considerable higher input lag.
If we are looking at 10bit panel with HDR, VRR and low input lag (especialy all working at same time) , its more like 1k+ starting price.

Not bad IMO. I like LG, they produce some of the best panels around.

Not bad. I'm currently using a LG 4K monitor that I got on sale. Cheaper 4K monitors are always welcome.

You've obviously never gamed at 4K before.

Hey i live in Argentina, i could easily add 50% in taxes so it would take a good salary and half. Thing is not about hipocrisy, it is reality and market. If i had the task of separate people from money on rich countries i would also sell something as silly as a "gaming chair" "gaming desk" or the kind of stuff they overprice and throw at consumers there.

Actually when i hook my PC up to my LG49701V i hardly see any input lag at all if i set the TV to Game Mode. But i prefer my 1440p 144hz g-sync monitor because there's literally no input lag at all with that. Just need a 4K equivalent of that monitor for around £1000. The Asus PG27UQ price is a bad fecking joke.

I am using a 43in 4k uhd hdr tv as my monitor now and it is fantastic to say the least, fantastic picture, Diablo 3 artwork at 4k is stunning to look at, and the cost of this tv, £350 coming up for 2 years ago......of course i have no issues playing with 30 or 60 fps and drops in fps don't really bother me that much, so i am sorted, but thanks for the thought LG. Lol

32" 4k and 500$ is quite good, if you want to go for the monitor route.
The HDR thing is a bit of a mess. At this point in time it can't be any sort of selling point since it lacks any true standardisation

Just got a 50in Panasonic TX--50EX750B 4k HDR 120hz TV brand new for £450 to replace my dying projector, beautiful TV, I love my GSync monitors for gaming but when you consider the screen real estate of modern TV's the prices for monitors today start to look completely ridiculous.

    "brightness of 300 cd/m2"

TV Manufacturers need to realised this crap is now low-end. 1000 cd/m2 minimum from now on!!

i live half in a country with: price + 21% local tax + 25% importation tax and other half in a country with price + 0% tax but with heavy custom control of what coming in or out... sometime both final price are the same... they think we are lamb lol (specialy AMD that inflate the price to match the price with tax of the country around... crap i was wanting a Rizen to try on my HTPC)
