I got a strange issue on an old laptop. The screen is not working, but if i connect external screen it is working. But the strangest thing happens. The letters in words on the screen are mispelled. For instance when i try to run windows installation, instead of saying windows it could say something like wlndols. It is as if letters were somehow mixed. It happens even if i dont insert a cd and when it says no booting device found, the same thing happens. I didnt see any artifacts and also as u could see, all instances of a letter are replaced by the same letter. Any idea ?

Leaning again possible bad RAM also. "Misspelled" words are common sign that memory is BAD. It's called a bit-flip or single-bit-error that causes the bit to flip from 0 to 1 or 1 to 0 and causes "misspellings".
