Ok, I've started to get some issues with my Samsung 260HD monitor which I've had for probably eight years so need some advice on upgrading what to look for? I'm thinking of getting a 4k Monitor but not sure if it's worthwhile or getting a good 4k TV to replace it, if I was to go the TV route I would probably just swap it for my 42" Samsung HDTV but no idea how good it would be for a monitor as its a B2B model. I am thinking of wall mounting the monitor as I'm thinking of getting a smaller desk made as my current desk is 2 meters wide. If i was to wall mount it i think i could get away with a 40 inch screen.
My computer monitor is the Acer 27" XB271HU (WQHD > 2560x1440), 165hz refresh, IPS. Purchased in May of 2016. I paid more then, but now it's @ $600. at Amazon. My rig is strictly for gaming for my son and I. This monitor has been rated the best gaming monitor of it's type since it's introduction. It is expensive, but less so now as it has been out for a while. It's AMAZING in every way. We play a lot of FPS games, especially Battlefield 1.
