It's not impossible, I'm evaluating what the users are recommending me to do.

Edit: A tickbox in the option menu has been added for the next version.

Updated to v17.0.8.9 due to a little something I forgot to disable that broke the new option.

I will release another version because of a threading bug I found for the AMD user. Nothing critical but it must be fixed. Will fix asap. Expect a release today or tomorrow.

Edit: Should now be fixed with the current release : v17.0.9.0
If you guys have issues, feel free to contact me.

I wish Microsoft would speed up their malware exception list so that DDU doesn't get flagged every time you update your program.

I guess it's complicated for them as DDU does a lot of file / registry manipulation their heuristic scanner think it's virus behavior.
Btw here windows defender is not detecting anything. You probably have heuristic scanning enabled.
What is the detection name you get?

    Hi Wagnard,
With the latest version V17.0.9.0 I encounter a small bug that was present in some older version of DDU. After I run DDU in safe mode I checked with CCleaner for leftovers and it give me this report

Is not a big deal but maybe there are some tweaking that must be done.

@Wagnard would it be possible for DDU to not remove AMD chipset drivers? I believe once upon a time it did not remove the chipset drivers for while?

Just set it on options (under AMD stuff, it's still there), and allow it to store configuration on your roaming folder. By this way, on the next update on a fresh folder it'll remember your preference.

FYI I downloaded if off of the Guru3D US West Coast mirror and it is being detected as malware by multiple AV scanners, Kaspersky and Hitman Pro.

I had to use a previous version to remove drivers instead.

Try from my website just in cases. But its probably the same usual false positive or heuristic results.
