Does it really matter, the story in Doom? Demons come from Hell, you blast them into a pulp. Where or why .. don't really care lol
The story goes like this. You are Doom Guy, pick up gun, kill demon, pick up bigger gun, kill bigger demon, pick up chainsaw, Rip and Tear, pick up Big Fukken Gun... Kill Every Demon. tHE eND.
Well, you are in luck. Because this is not a reboot, it's a direct sequel to 2016's game. So... there ya go. Continuing the storyline.
"DOOMWorld interviewed John Carmack recently. The site itself is a bit sluggish but Blue's News had this snippet on how Doom got its name: Carmack: There is a scene in "The Color of Money" where Tom Cruise shows up at a pool hall with a custom pool cue in a case. "What do you have in there?" asks someone. "Doom." replied Cruise with a cocky grin. That, and the resulting carnage, was how I viewed us springing the game on the industry. "
hahaha, so again we are nameless marine picking up weapons and killing some unknown monsters coming from nowhere
Well, it's more Doom. Who doesn't want that? They should have done some single-player DLC for Doom 4 imo. Like Resurrection of Evil for Doom 3.
Or just a doom3 remake or a story based around that, but with same tight dark spaces and scare factors, That would be fricking awesome!
Twice as many demons... quantity or type (or both)? Not that it matters; either way is fine, but twice as many enemy types would be something a little different. I take it this is the same engine as Doom 4? I'll be getting this for sure.
