Hey all, Hoping someone might be able to shed some light, As of recently i've been making use of the sleep function on my main rig, better productivity since i started trading as a pass time. On wake the desktop starts with a dead screen, i would have to power off and start the desktop again, this usually happens every time the desktop is on sleep for extended hours. Powering off on wake takes one click via the power button, you wouldn't have to hold it down for a forced shut down. I'm thinking it's a power supply issue possibly even a graphics unit problem, i'm at worlds end with this one guys, any help or insight would be much appreciated. A few other things ive tried: - Disabled hibernate - Set power settings to high performance - Checked cables are seated correctly - Speedfan readings: +3.3V: 3.29v +12V: 12.02v +5V: 5.01v The unit is a corsair HX1000i coupled with a Z97. Thanks, - TeKK
You can investigate power subsystem. Launch elevated command prompt and execute: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/wi...ice-experiences/powercfg-command-line-options Generate a diagnostic system power transition report powercfg /systempowerreport /output "c:\temp\system-power-report.html" Generate a diagnostic report of system sleep transitions powercfg /systemsleepdiagnostics /output "c:\temp\system-sleep-diagnostics.html" Generate a diagnostic report of modern standby quality powercfg /sleepstudy /output "c:\temp\system-sleep-study.html" /duration days Report the sleep states available on the system powercfg /availablesleepstates powercfg /A Analyze the system for common energy-efficiency and battery-life problems powercfg /energy /output "c:\temp\system-energy.html" /duration seconds PS Folder and file names you can choose proper for your rig and taste.
Don't use sleep, use hibernate instead. I don't know what else to tell you. Also when did this problem start for you ?
Hibernate closes pre set windows, thanks mbk. Edit: Although, yes i could use the hibernate function allot more.
So i've tested hibernate a few nights in a row, every morning i wake up to find rig has powered on, ive disabled all system wake timers and those on the mouse. The problem continues but hopefully i should find the solution soon, going to send mbk's diagnostic reports to the guys at corsair in the mean time.
I have no clue why its waking up by itself. If you move the mouse or what not, then I understand but your asleep wtf. I don't know what Corsair can do for you.
Ok guys, thread update. Again tested this a few nights in a row and everything seems to be working fine, disabled hibernate in cmd, disabled all system & peripheral timers. It turned out to be the docking station for my Razer Naga and there doesn't appear to be a fix for it either. Have followed Razer's advise on a clean synapse install and no luck, will be selling the mouse which has actually had very little use, msg if interested. Thanks for the help!
