Gtx 1080 Ti LG Oled B7 I know not every HDMI 2.0 cable can pass 4K 60hz (fps?) 4:4:4 with HDR.. i was checking on amazon, but there is a lot. .any recomendation? thanks
Most are 28AWG, thicker ones such as 26AWG should have no issues. Just look for one that has a good number of reviews with 26AWG, 2.0b spec.
4K 60 4:4:4 10b-HDR isn't possible with current HDMI cables, 18Gbps is the current bandwidth limit and what you're after requires 22.28Gbps. Closest you can run is 4K 60 4:2:2 10b-HDR which is 17.82Gbps Source: http://community.cedia.net/blogs/david-meyer/2017/06/22/4k-60-444-hdr Will have to wait for HDMI 2.1.
What about this cable https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B078LTNDZW/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?smid=A7EB2YHL3E081&psc=1 the cinema plus cable version is 22.28 Gbps
Definitely worth trying it at that price, but I’d be very surprised if it can deliver that kind of bandwidth.
As long as the cable supports the bandwidth the protocol determines the output and display. Currently the best you can attain with HDMI is 60hz 4K 4:4:4 UHD uncompressed RGB even if you had a 100 Gbps cable. It appears that MS is trying to do some sort of 8 bit dithering to implement HDR10 without resorting to reducing chroma...right now it's all a mess. Enabling HDR at 4K for me when connected via HDMI on my Samsung JU7100 makes the set look at as if it is in RGB limited...it's dull. HDR 10 IMO is never going to be implemented correctly over HDMI 2.0b at 4K.
I have 4k+60hz+4:4:4 (+HDR) with this 4,57m cable : https://www.amazon.de/dp/B014I8T8FC/ref=pdp_new_dp_review 1080ti+Samsung TV
