So this is my current thought for a new system

    CPU: AMD 2700x
    RAM: GSkill Flare X 16gb 3200 DDR4
    MOBO: ASUS X470-Pro
    GPU: Evga GTX 970
Ssd: SATA Samsung 850 evo 500gb
    PSU: Evga supernova 750watt

I have two old 500gb HDDs, but Would it be worth it for me to get a second M2 SSD and a new larger HDD?

And what M2 SSD would you recommend?

I take it the 970 is a leftover from the old build? The rest is fine, 2700x seems great, ram is fine, good mobo, SSD is fine, PSU is fine. Depending on how much storage you need, I'd either get a new 2TB ish HDD (if you need more storage) or another 500gb SSD (if you can do with it).

Yes, the GTX 970 is my current card. I’ve seen a GTX 1070Ti for $500 locally, but I have s hard time swallowing that price. I figure I will wait to see what happens this summer if Nvidia releases a new generation.

In that case, the rest looks great, go for it.

I went a similar direction with an 960 M.2 as boot, an 850 sata for new games and a WD 2tb HDD for storage. Seems to work well. If you have a Steam, Uplay, GoG, Origin, Blizzard library you'll eat up space pretty quickly.
