Stable version of Windows 10? It happens on any version, I don't need to update my OS to test a driver, you just read what you want to read, there are many forums with several complains about this driver with different cards and configurations, but whatever, you people will give anyone with an issue the same answer. In any case, only the right people in NVIDIA will solve this, it is pointless to discuss with the common folk, in the mean time we are gonna stick to previous drivers and wait for a better version.

 

Driver isn't a complete mess, it's definitely slower than 391.35 for sure.

 

397.40vulkan is better then both.

I just did a new DDU clean up and rolled back to 391.35 on windows 1803 and everything is working fine without the annoying uxd service slowing down my machine.
BTW there is a new DDU with official support and fixes for windows 10 1803 here!
I hope the next release will be better..

so stable theres a hotfix. here i go to regret giving it a try. least i know where the next hour of my night is going.

There are other win7 issues in this driver that im not sure nvidia has addressed in the hotfix.

was a little strange to find Xtreme Engine causing my win7 system to stutter till i saw the reports on geforce forums about the gdi handle leak.

Told ya. Read the countless complains and issues next time and skip the fan boys, these people lack common sense and you'll waste time and saliva. Wait for the right personnel from NVIDIA to fix the hotfix.

 

The majority simply try and roll back, or they apply common sense and read the issues and decide not to, they don't have the time and energy to argue with fan boys.

 

Interesting i have those issues in my 1080 mini too but mine are less severe since only appears on the HUD, they are like the rpcs3 glitches in vulkan mode when you play persona 5, according to the developers of the emulator those glitchs are because of some missing feature not present yet on vulkan and maybe dota is trying to use them too hence the glitches, but in my case the game is smooth no sttuters or anything, just those wierd lines.

 

Not on Pascal.

 

@SpookySkeleton I'm currently stick with -dx11. The vulkan glitches happened since one year ago.

Finally, I saw "uxdservice" when I use DDU to boot into safe mode.

 

Afaik SLI has been a mess since it was introduced.
