Does is matter what language you're using or are they all the same?

Thanks but I was just asking what is official. I've already been on 17134.5 for a few days. I'm looking for a 100% confirmation that 17134.5 is indeed the build they will be using so that I can install it on my work computer as well. I can't be constantly backing up and installing OS's on that computer so I would need confirmation first.
    It's all the same.

Yes, it does not matter what language version you have installed.

I updated to 17134.5 yesterday via a .cab file, but I didn't run that line afterwards. What is that part for?

The Cumulative Update (17134.5) is only offered at Insiders in the Release Preview, Slow & Fast ring's, not for public channels.

Okay so I'm confused. 17134.1 is official then? As in it can be safely used as a non preview os and those of us on 17134.5 are using a preview os? I have 17134.5 installed via the first posts method on my gaming desktop with zero issues. My work computer is using 1607 enterprise. I'd like to update to the latest stable official windows 10 version. Would that be 17134.1 or 17134.5?

That's odd. It's not even showing on my 1607 work computer. Maybe because it is enterprise or because it's 1607. Could also be depending on region I suppose.

Nothing works. The sound is clicking and popping at any mode even on the drivers which Windows is installing during the installation. I've tried reinstalling different versions via different ways, the result is the same. Will try installing DanielK's pack now - I generally prefer not to as just the driver, without all the useless bloat is completely fine.

I'm pretty sure that it's Creative's issue and this means that we're f*cked of course.

FB2K is at least somewhat fixable by switching to WASAPI output so it's not a complete loss. But this is exactly what I was afraid of when MS said that they are doing some changes to Windows sound settings again. Each time they do this something is breaking in Creative's POS software.

What's a bit weird is that it's only FB2K which is showing this issue so far. All other audio is fine, including MPC-HC's output which is also through DirectSound. So maybe it's FB2K's issue after all.

    First benchmarks:
    Unigine Valley: W8.1 3213 / W10: 3243
    ROTR: W8.1 50.68 fps / W10: 51.45 fps

Off to install GTA V and Arkham Knight - and that will take a looong time...

Yep I've also had issues with my titanium pro card, Digital works fine but analogue doesn't which I like in games,, I found that having the settings matching in entertainment mode and gaming mode solves it.

To add to the discussion - I have X-Fi XtremeGamer with official Creative drivers. No issues. Clean install.

I only use gaming mode. But I'll see if this will help.

Update: same with Daniel_K's pack, same with making sure that settings are similar between gaming and entertainment.

A bit off-top: why use gaming mode in Windows from Vista on? I use Audio Creation Mode + bit-matched playback.

So 17134.5 will get normal updates too later or?

    I don't have Insider enabled.

Also no issues with my xfi titanium HD, works as intended (any audio mode, extra 24/96 @ analogue), driver install still from RS3.

    And i updated from RS3>rs4 leak 17133> rs4 17134.1>RS4 17134.5

Very likely. I had 17133 on a work PC and it updated to 17134 normally through WU, no Insider enabled.

There's very little difference between them all. Gaming mode is better for older titles and I don't listen to music through X-Fi anyway. So I prefer to just have X-Fi in gaming mode.

It doesn't matter which mode it's in though, the issue with FB2K DS output is present in all of them on 1803.
