reverting back to older drivers. These are just terrible for me, causes not only system hangs but introduces micro stutter in pubg.

GPU-z needs an update in order to recognize the WHQL signature.

I'm getting blue pixelated artifacts, particularly on video playback and game main menus since installed these drivers. Anyone else?

I am using 397.40 and for me mpv works in d3d, opengl and vulkan modes fine.

Tried to Update to the latest driver but it refused to install correctly. GPU was never detected after update. Had to reinstall the driver before this one.

This is just a limitation in gpu-z, the driver is whql

Had to revert back to 391.35. This driver was plaguing Event Viewer with lots of event errors. I already had dozens of them. Back on 391.35, no errors. Like always, I made a "light / debloated" install with just Physx and Audio Drivers selected.

Yes i know that mate.. BTW a new Nvidia WHQL driver is coming soon. So many users reporting serious issues with these especially GTX1060 users are having a nightmare with 397.35. Personally i don't have any issues except that the uxd service is slowing down system reboot/shutdown sometimes and thats really annoying! (It was supposed to be fixed in older versions but lool...)

@jdc2389 MPV plays just fine here, even better then the previous drivers with d3d11 on Win 10 1607 LTSB. Check your system m8.

The Event 14's are apparently harmless, saw some guys on here worked out its an issue with full uefi boot

My system is on full UEFI boot, so it might be.

    Limitation of GPU-Z?

I think the problem is somehow related to this.

Ah, i forgot to mention I'm on win10 1803. I'm using HDMI, so it's not a displayport thing. It works with 397.31 and 397.40 (new vulkan driver, someone posted in forums)

After having it set like this for a few days, I'm pretty much sold on keeping HDR enabled all the time. There used to be some latency/highGPU on the desktop (and borderless fullscreen games) when using HDR with ycbcr422 10bit, like it was converting RGB to ycbcr or something. I even submitted a ticket to Nvidia about it a while back.

The problem is pretty much gone now when using RGB 8-bit. I also figured out with my Samsung tv to disable pc mode and use game mode instead. Low input lag and good colors (not washed out like before). Games look good, I tested a couple of games, Fortnite + Warframe (both games SDR), and Final Fantasy 15 (HDR and SDR modes) and so far things run smooth and look great.

Check your config m8 you should be using opengl or vulkan m8 ;) I'm using opengl just fine.
    Pascal or Maxwell, win 1709 or 1803? 1607 wddm 2.1 here ;)

@jdc2389 what's wrong with you man,i just told you that MPV is working JUST FINE....NO....PROBLEMS !!!! And just FYI d3d11 has much better hardware acceleration than OpenGL and Vulkan at the moment (at the moment, being present time, can't say what would happened in the future)so thanks but no thanks.

P.S. Vulkan doesn't even provide codecs support last time i checked, not at least with MKV/H.264 files which are the most popular. So what would be the point of using it,you literally running it off your CPU instead of GPU?

Pascal 1709. But try checking various output modes for mpv("--vo=gpu"; "--gpu-api=d3d11/vulkan/opengl"; "--gpu-context=d3d11/vulkan/opengl"; etc.).
