i dont need to play a game to know whether or not its worth my time, ive been gaming long enough to see through the bullshite. Full play throughs mixed with how uniteractive games have become make it easy to see the style over substance facade. Besides, you made up your mind when the blatantly paid for reviews told you it was the second coming.
Playing games for a long time might be a problem for older gamers as you have seen it all before ie street fighter 1 to what ever number is out now, to a younger generation it's all new, I'm enjoying the story and change of direction for kratos also I don't buy many games anymore just pick up the quality ones. Imo
While it is not the second coming, it is entertaining and it is also diverting me away from my current SWG addiction so all good (Played about 5 or so hours)

Jim Sterling on YT thinks the new third person perspective for GOW4 makes it look no difference from any other game of it's type. I can kind of see what he means when looking at gameplay footage.

I have to agree, I played up to this stranger fight and its put me off playing the game...rather than put some imagination into the game, the devs just used a ufc fighter with marvel powers. A typical generic scene you would see in a action flick, rather than be immersed in the experience, I was just wanted the crap to be over with so I could continue with the game. Its a shame because I was looking forward to it but stuff like that really puts me off. I might revisit later on.
No, I think i'm just getting old and I also dislike the way some of the characters are written in these big AAA games like the stranger for example (I cant stand the dialogue). I am happy some people enjoy this stuff but its just not for me. I will say the game has excellent graphics and the gameplay was okay when fighting the normal mobs.
