Still I have to find any major detail improvement with ultra over low on those screenshots... I guess it will only be lighting and voluminetric stuff?

Background mountains, vegetation, shadows, but also things like water shows that really well. I'll try and see if I can update the screenshots today with a better batch (environment) showing the differences.

Have you noticed that the AMD Fury line perform quite good, despite they were performing not so good at launch.

    Fun isn't it?

There is no way to disable Rapid Packed Math? I would like to see how much it improves over normal.

Oh you are right, I just looked at the water now and it does look better. Thanks for pointing it out but you already did a good job in all the testing, probably soon you can find comparison screenshots for all the settings on the net too if one (I) wants to check.

Nice The Exclusieve Vega features works great, but only a big gap on 1440P

Ubisoft should team up with Amd more often.. Their gamework implementations are often bad. I just playd FC4 and I had to disable all gameworks effects to make it not crash every 30mins.

Yet another AMD sponsored title that runs SMOOTH on everything and is not gimping anyone with gimpworks, and looks great while doing that on DAY ONE.

Ubisoft: "You have already gamed quite enough today, friend. For the sake of your health, let's wait 24 hours before continuing, mmkay?"

    That was the reason, right?

I bought the PS4 version as for whatever reason the PC version doesn't support HDR. It's great that the PC version runs well though.

HDR pops out if you turn Windows HDR on?

Ultra settings still looks like a ps4 game :/
Might be different when I'm playing it but it looks like a step backwards from GR:Wildlands.
Performance looks good, thanks for the review HH.

Different engine, Dunia compared to Anvil which you then have Anvil Next in Wildlands compared to the new version in Origins and it looks pretty dated digging into the engine internals although Origins lacks the additional graphical effects offered by GameWorks for users who have enough GPU power to enable these. :)

They did a pretty thorough overhaul for Far Cry 4 though and then a smaller one for Primal and now here's Far Cry 5 with physically accurate materials and a fancy water system though I assume pop-in for vegetation and LOD might still be a thing, unsure how the shadow system is though it appears to be a variant on PCSS for smooth shadows and filtering if that info was accurate.

Strange to see 4C/4T doing a little better than 4C/8T.

Games need to support HDR in the first place, turning it on in Windows will do nothing if the game doesn't support it. As far as I know the PC version doesn't support it, but the console version does.
