Howdy my fellow gurus Just bought a 4k tv other day now id like to change my crappy acer 1080p monitor. What I had in mind was a Lg (my tv is also lg) it's a 25" ultrawide 75hz refresh rate 2560x1080 2 HDMI inputs. $155 over at Microcenter what do you guys think? I don't have a huge budget for g-sync so I need to make some compromises here and still get something decent. $200 max.

Gfx card is Asus strix gtx 980 I should be ok pushing 2560x1080 on that card? Iam kinda bummed it does not have dvi or dp input,I find Hdmi to have washed out colors what should I do?

If you get a 25" ultrawide, it's going to be very small. A 25" ultrawide has the same height as a 19.8" 16:9.

If your current monitor is a 24" 16:9, anything below 31" ultrawide is going to feel like a downgrade because of the reduced height. (30" ultrawide is only slightly shorter than a 24" 16:9.)

This, 25" ultrawide is too small, 34" is just about right. I'd prefer a 38" ultrawide eventually

You could always go with a 27” 144Hz QHD G-sync monitor. I picked up a Dell version a few weeks ago. I came from a 27” QHD Qnix panel and the refresh rate (my Qnix maxed out at 110Hz) and G-sync were game changers for me.
