Every time I unplug this monitor (which I have to do if I want to enable HDR on my TV) and then plug it back in, it re-enables the monitor speakers and sets it to default in the Windows settings. So then every time I do this I have to go back in and disable the device. How can I permanently disable this particular audio device? Is there some tweak that will do it?

Disable High definition audio controller on GPU.

Never tried it myself, but try using Custom Resolution Utility by Toastsy. Delete the "Audio Formats" and "Speaker Setup" from the monitors EDID to make it seem like your monitor doesn't support any audio output. Again, I don't know if this will work.

Does that monitor not have an option to disable DTS audio via OSD menu?
