Qi charging is a trendy thing these days, anything wireless as well. Within that mindset, Corsair released a Wireless mouse that can be wirelessly charged (Qi) on a new mouse pad. In this article, we...

    Great review as always Hilbert.

Personally not a product for me, I prefer no-RGB + simplicity + need a cable.

Same, that's why I went from Razer Deathadder to Deathadder 3,5G and currectly Deathadder 5G elite. Won't change this simple with cable design ever.

Personally, I just like the button layout. Too many mice either go overboard or skimp on buttons these days.
I have no desire to have 40 functions assigned to my left hand and like 5 with my right. Reminds me a little of the Logitech G700.
Not sure I care about the wireless charging, though. I just keep a set of Eneloops ready to swap at a moment's notice. They work for both my mouse and my gamepads, too.

    Thanks for the review.

It looks like a solid MMO mouse, and as Domingo realized, it can be a nice alternative to G700. Too bad that Logitech made G703 basically as a copy of wireless G403. It should definitely have their signature wheel and 4+ buttons on thumb. Oh well, such a waste :/

Wireless charging sound good in this mouse. Yet, G603 can work really long even on a single battery (making G703 even more obsolete). Where wireless charging may come in handy is reducing mouse weight to absolute minimum. With 128g, Dark Core is lighter than G700, still it's heavier than G603. And lighter mice make a world of difference in shooters.

If one makes a mouse with 4 thumb buttons, PMW336x optical sensor, Logitech-like wheel, and <100g, and I'd buy it today.

Fair points. This mouse seems to be the closest anyone has gotten so far to a G602 successor though. Currently, the G602 is a mere €40 (they probably go out of production soon if they haven't already), so in my opinion still a no-brainer as best-buy. If this corsair had two extra thumb buttons I would've been willing to try it if my G602 was to die on me and unavailable for sale.

There are five buttons located at your thumb. I know I'm not a pro gamer whatsoever .. but why two would you need even more?

I have 6 on my G602 and I use all of them in every application. Surely there are keyboard shortcuts for back/forth; copy/paste; previous/next tab; and all those other things, but I found having them ready in an instant on my right thumb is a luxury I do not want to shy away from.

I however counted 4 buttons on the corsair, I suppose I missed the detail you can actually press the middle as well. If there's 5, I could make that work, as I'd assign dpi changes to a single button then, since you don't really need more than 2 settings on the fly anyway.

    nice.

    actually, scrap that^
I watched another video review, and now it is clear to me it only has 3 side-buttons. I though it was back/forth/up/down/middle but apparently it's only back/forth/middle. So it's 3 buttons short of my G602, and I'm not willing to give up on those functions. Heck, most of the time on my pc I'm not even touching the keyboard.
Bummer, looked like a decent product for me otherwise, although wireless charging is not my thing and I know I'll detest connecting the cable every night.
