Cloud Imperium Games released a new video of its upcoming space simulator Star Citizen. The video showcases the process of creating ships, also introducing the teams and developers responsible for the... Star Citizen - How Ships are Made Video
I received Star Citizen free with my Radeon 290X a few years back. I downloaded and installed it the other day and played for about 30 minutes. It was one of the worst, buggiest, almost laughably bad experiences i've had in gaming. I appreciate its still pre alpha. but bloody hell. I brought my friend around to show him, he was also "less than impressed"
This reminded me of Jumpgate Evolution. Shame it never got out of alpha. Not sure but I think i played a star citizen alpha release aaages ago too, but I just can't remember. Is there even a market for this kind of game now? EVE Online is literally dying now, and that's been going since 2003 and nothing has 'replaced' it.
Expect Squadron 42 to be released this year. Here is the 'vertical slice' gameplay footage they showed off recently.
Having the game in "pre-alpha" state, you expect them to release alpha, beta and finally v1.0 built within a year? Or you mean finally release full alpha built?
SQ42 is a separate game from Star Citizen - it's not in any released state at the moment. That being said, I don't think it will launch this year.
i wonder if they will release a "StarCoin" at some point ... if it ever happens remember people you hear it here first
