If you are an ASUS user and patched your Windows and Firmware Upgraded your motherboard to protect yourself against the Spectre and Meltdown vulnerabilities, you probably will have noticed that Micros... ASUS Releases AI Suite 3 Beta Compatible with Meltdown - Spectre Windows Patch
Its good that this will work for many Asus users, but if you have Ivy bridge or older CPU/MoBo combination you are out of luck.
Working good here with an Haswell i5 and H97 Plus board! Thx ASUS for this quick fix! I wait for the final version now!
I guess I have to wait to get the software, as both google links are broken =/, I wonder if they will release an beta update for there aura software too.
Got it from https://vip.asus.com/forum/view.aspx?board_id=1&model=ROG STRIX Z370-G GAMING (WI-FI AC)&id=20180105103450068&page=1&SLanguage=en-us, hope it's ok leaving an mega.nz mirror below: Code: https://mega.nz/#!cU8CyCJD!pC2m20d8jE_2tdS2P5Dd4_UompAOo2m9s7qutuStZGI MD5 8CB292EB8050FC488554A0422E52460A SHA1 79C3B10C68F3FE76330F378AB4BB38D4BB338C0F The link left by @rflair seems to be working.
Not for me. Still can’t control my fans as I can't tie it to any sensors this was released well before Meltdown was exposed.
yea I was able to get it from the link , but sadly it doesn't install for me, it just runs and then exit back out. It seems to not like my Asus Mark 2 Tuf X299.
I'm still having the same problem. But I notice just about all the users are all Intel owners.... ? My fans keep spinning up on my X399. I may just have to reinstall W10 and not update the system for a while. Is anyone else having this problem on AMD hardware? AI Suite III worked for me now. I had to uninstall and reinstall the software. I have the POWER TO CONTROL!!!! hahah
So far no AMD user has had problems with those threats, my AM4 Asus Strix B350-F does not need a update.
