Driver is still crashing in Firefox (although fairly rare), Phase Shift (frequently), and now after installing 388.71 it happened with GTA V (Online) as well.
Stock or OC, Fullscreen optimization on or off, makes no difference, the crashes happen all the same. No discernible pattern.

This has been the case with every driver since 384 (when a great deal of people started having FF crashes), but never before then.

Edit: 52 driver crashes logged over the past 2 months.

anyone having stuttering on battlefront 2?
i had some serious stuttering while playing it with this driver.

edit:after some searching on google,i found that disabling dx12 can reslove the stuttering,so the driver is so far so good,i supposed...

Using DX12, yes. DX12 is abysmal on my system as it constantly hitches and stutters (I use G-SYNC by the way).

This didn’t happen with DX11 but the last couple of drivers, including this one, have not been as smooth due to minor stutters which didn’t happen before. I’m not sure if it’s the driver or the game engine but in the case of DX12, it has been a massive, massive disappointment on NVIDIA graphics cards anyway in my experience.

Origins kept crashing and FIFA 18 (FUT) was even more unstable than usual so I had to rollback to 388.31.

I didn't play FUT, but FYI, 388.71 is so far the best driver for FIFA 18.

    Reboot after setting it up.

    No issues with DSR here.

Hmm, i did notice some minor stutters in Battlefront 2 and i moved the game to the SSD but nothing changed, so i guess it's either the game or the drivers.

It's way worse with shader cache off.

I've no Firefox (54) crashes with .59, and i run with like nearly 200 tabs open 24/7. Since you are also crashing games, you might check your PSU under load.

That's probably on your end. There is no green flickering bug for me nor any of the people I run with and we all have nvidia cards. In fact I've never even heard of this bug.

No, there was a green flashing/flickering for half sec bug but it was due to a Nvidia driver, it's fixed at least 4-5 drivers ago.

Maybe its Pascal issue, I never seen that either, be it dx12 or dx11, TH2, RS1,2,3.

Anyway, this driver is ok, 388.59 was a bit faster here and there, avg. is the same by both.
Smoothness is also the same by both, although one 387.89? was smoother.. I remember when I upgraded from RS2 to RS3 and 387.89@ RS3 wow! what a difference in smoothness.

It's fairly rare yes. I've got a few mates who have it, none experienced it before driver 387.92. That driver and all others after that have the flicker issue.
This is how it looks like, sometimes a lot worse. Keep your eyes at the top area of the video from 1:00min onwards and check 7:30--->.

I don't believe this is a hardware issue, as it started with the 384's like for many others. As for the PSU, I've tested and measured with a multimeter (and HWMonitor) before, and there were no signs of instability/fluctuations.

FF crashes are rare, I've only had about 3 or so over the course of a few months, and since Mozilla improved recovery logic they really just manifest as a momentary black flash before the webpage is restored. Phase Shift is by far the most prone to crashing (again, not before 384), and GTA is a completely new development that - so far - has only happened once.

Thank you for trying to help though, I appreciate it.

Is anyone else having similar issues?

Edit: I just now used Wagnard's tool to adjust the TdrDelay from 2 to 4 seconds, will see if that changes anything (though I know it's really just a bandaid rather than a real fix).

Edit 2: TdrDelay made no difference.
