I have an MSI 1080ti gaming X that I water cool using the kraken g10 kit.

Is the thing labeled here on the right of the mosfet supposed to be cooled?

What are those...each one is labeled with a "/" and there are 8 of them?
I am asking because I am running a kraken bracket, and one of my copper heat sinks fell off of those - surface area is too small to create strong adhesion.

To clarify what I am asking about...Going towards the right end of the picture: Metal colored inductors - Mosfet - X. The little black squares next to the larger black squares.

for some reason image wont upload correctly, here is the link:

Edit: I highlighted the part I am talking about to make it more clear:

Too make it simple, if it had a thermal pad on it when you removed cooler, it should be cooled.

The circled far left(left of GDDR5) and far right(under 8pins) do not need to be cooled

Make sure to clean all original thermal paste. Then apply a bit in the middle and with your hand spread is around. Put CPU in HSF and slowly it will bond to the CPU. gl

Do you even read the crap you write?

Geez, you're like a computer generating random responses based on key words.
