Thermaltake X Comfort Air Gaming Chair Has Active Cooling For Your Bum

Sounds like a silly gimmick. Never felt my bum in need of cooling.

 

Well according to the thermagraph`s it also cools your back.....dont believe that for one minute, probably be cheaper to buy a gelpad jacket like the F1 drivers use, personally i like my bum nice and warm.

 

I can see this having some unintended consequences when one lets off some gas during those intense gaming sessions

 

That means your bum is not too big and definitely not too hairy. Those two together in a hot summer's day...

 

You could also use a normal chair and use a $10 fan pointed at you

Silly i think. I dont think the ass need cooling. The cpu? sure. The gpu? Alright. But the ass? Good lord why would the ass need cooling?

 

Yeah but I mean, what if you're overclocking? That gives you a few more butt-a-hurtz of headroom doesn't it?

Nothing but gimmicks coming out of thermaltake lately :/ , it needs RGB lights too , lots of it ( no RGB = no buy )

 

Cmon guys, don't be stupid: those fans/cooling is for our " family jewels" I definitely need one of these chairs but not for long gaming sessions. One of these could be useful when my parents take all of our kids with them for 7 - 12 days vacation somewhere, me and my lady home alone for such a long time... welll .... ultimate test both for chair construction and for fans inside

$499 ...OOOOKKkkkk ...thanks but no thanks... bag full of ice over the "jewels" and AC on max should provide enough cooling for everything that hurts hahaha

 

a fart fan with filter would be good unless its me then I'm usually proud every time that event takes place....

 

Chair don't look specially ergonomic (imo).
Cushion for back, abit too flat surfaces here and there..
Cooling fo ass is funny and cool idea, coz ass area is the one of the hottest place in human body - some ppl may like it in the long summer gamming session.
But..
For 500$ plus taxes I can start consider cosmetic chair, with electrical regulation, or massage

 

Nice call on the Markus from Ikea HH, that's what I use and so far I can say without a doubt I have had no serious a*s overheating issues with it.

 

I just want to know if there is a fart filter... cause some times... that gas can ruin a good gaming session.

 

If you look carefully at the IR images the difference between the seat temperature with "fan off" vs "fan on full speed" is only less than 2 degC - not really much of a difference. EDIT: Ha, and also if you've read Hilberts description on it - missed that!

 

It's scary how much of that movie is becoming reality as time passes...

 

Until someone makes an AFFORDABLE 'gaming' chair with a properly sprung seat - like a car seat - then no chair is going to be comfortable, or last very long.

Foam on wood is just cheap and has a limited lifespan. I sit on a modified car seat, and unlike EVERY other chair I have EVER sat in in over 30 years, this is the only one I can sit in for longer than an hour without severe pain.
