GPU clocks change but not memory clocks on 390 here. So close, yet so far.

very curious, I wonder if the reason fiji's memory clocking is broken completely is more of a global memory clocking issue with overdrive"6" due to being deprecated in the newer drivers , and that overdrive N simply doesn't implement support yet for fiji.

EDit: I can confirm, that setting memory clocks using Unoffical Overclocking mode in msi afterburner works with ODN disabled on 17.7.1 (on polaris), trying to set clocks in unoffical overclocking mode on 17.7.2 or newer results in the card locking to the lowest pstate.

I think from this it can be deduced that something definitely broke the old Overdrive "6" Memory clocking support Globally in the new 17.300 branch drivers, it is not unique to fiji.
hopefully amd can be convinced to implement hbm clocking support in Overdrive N, otherwise it looks like this is a case of simply deprecated unoffical support breaking, that will never be fixed.

Best of luck to you fiji owners

Why RX 560 has overdrive and not wattman?

Tested Destiny_2 today -> works fine, GFX is old DX11
Working smooth on Ultra/High with HDAO + SMAA 1440p with driver 17.8.1 WHQL.

I will consider buying  maby on Sale -50%

    GeeK Note:
In terms of Quality GFX, it can't compare with BF1 or other Big Visual Games e.g. SW: BF, heck even DOOM looks better.
Compared to Doom it is good IMO, Fast paced "skill based" fight.

    Today i was Tested pCARS2 :D

Game runs very well on my RIG.
1440p 62FPS CAP mixed Ultra/High + Med Shadows (looking OK, no flickering) + SMAA Medium (Smooth as it can be without MSAA)
Game looks very good (FM7 Loking way better), driving is OK but game is directed fo' Wheels IMO
    Waiting for FM7 & GTR3 now.

"An update as an ex Fury X owner.

Last night was 1st time I did some actual gaming on MSI GTX 1080 Sea Hawk EK X. Prior time has just been spent benching/tweaking ThreadRipper setup.

I have ~150hrs+ clocked up on SWBF with Fury X, so I'd say experience of how it performances capped at 88FPS and using FreeSync I have alot.

I have not OC'd GTX 1080, due to it being on WC and how nVidia Boost 3.0 works I see flat clocks of ~1965MHz in benches.

So SWBF same Ultra 1440P setup but no V-Sync and FreeSync, I get range of say ~120-144FPS. The gameplay at times does not seem as smooth as Fury X capped at 88 FPS with FreeSync [IMG].

Next I tried Lords of the fallen, I get somewhere around ~90FPS+. Again the experience was not as smooth as Fury X IMO [IMG].

I then thought let's cap FPS in games to say 90, use same refresh rate, with V-Sync, to my suprise I found no such option in nVidia driver panel [IMG].

I called it a night then and plan to try other things today to see if I can smooth out gameplay 'experience'.

On another note my Fury X sold a day or so ago. Packed and ready to ship today. Some what some regret has crept in on swapping GPUs. Not welching on sale though.

I have sneaky feeling that variable refresh rate tech has spoiled me [IMG]. I may have to dispose of GTX 1080 sooner, rather than later [IMG]."

    ^^ I know that  ^^

Or he could invest in GSync ... and get hosed on the pricing.

im still loving my fury x, i ditched the 2nd fury for stability sake, that being said i am running 4k 60fps . between high and ultra on WoWS and BF1 and as the drivers keep rolling out im still seeing slight increases in performance. if anything im keeping this baby for at least 1 more year, maybe more

IMO it is not, but some ppl states otherwise :D (Like my buddy Gupsterg)
    I have 550 HBM with 1.337v In-BIOS Tweak + tMOD -> Im darn'Sure that is working OK.
One proof tho, if i give HBM 601 then i will have instant artifact Fest on Desktop :p So IMHO it is OK.
