Hi All My brother and I have just test both our systems on 3dmark timespy. My Specs - CPU - AMD Ryzen 5 1600X 3.6Ghz Motherboard - AsRock Fatal1ty X370 Gaming K4 RAM - G.Skill 8GB DDR4 2400mhz Video Card - MSi 1060 Gaming X 6GB GTX HDD - 250GB SSD Brother Specs - CPU - AMD Ryzen 5 1600X 3.6Ghz Motherboard - Asus ROG Strix B350-F Gaming RAM - G.Skill 16GB DDR4 3000mhz Video Card - Radeon R9 290 HDD - 250GB SSD My CPU scored 6187 with an average FPS of 20 , he scored 3600 with an average FPS of 12. Any reason as to what could be causing almost double the CPU score on one system when they're both almost identical apart from GPU and RAM which I wouldn't imagine would cause that much of a difference in the CPU score? Cheers!
Check that the CPU is running at the right clock speeds and its not stuck at a lower speed than it should be
i think your score is wrong his is ok. maybe you messed with some settings https://www.guru3d.com/articles_pages/msi_geforce_gtx_1080_ti_gaming_x_trio_review,29.html or like i did mixed graphics score with total
Thank you for all the replies. So both running updated BIOS. Both temperatures are fine, neither over heating. All programs closed when bench marking on both computers. Defiantly looking at CPU score not total / GPU score. Thought it was strange? not a massive deal I guess but you would imagine as far as the CPU score goes they'd be nearly identical? Or at the very least not almost double in score difference..
At stock clocks, I get 5647 with an avg fps of 18.97fps in TimeSpy with an R5 1600.... Definitely something wrong if his score is lower than mine.
