Audio technica m40x vs Sennheiser Hd 280s

    Hello iam looking for a decent set of headphones wired with no mic, I have tried every other pos namebrand and they all suck had bad sound and brokex I had the sennheiser 280s for a while so now debating whats better the audio technica vs sennheiser- I like the fact they were closed so you cannot hear any outside noise. Which ones are better max budget is $100 thank you.

    Mainly for listening to music and gaming,do not want a mic either. Thanks guys.Nick

    I think m40x is better. Sennheiser's lower end is not that good. From what I understand, it tries to be neutral, but its just "boring and dull" instead.
    m40x is pretty much safe choice, fits well for most people.

    You can search internet for best headphones under $100 and figure out which sound signature fits you the best. ("V-shape, bass, etc...")

    Well my other choice was Hyper x cloud but I have not had much luck with headphones with mics attached to them,thats why I picked the audio-tecnica or sennheiser.Thanks bud appricate your input on this.

    Ended-up getting the Audio-Technica Ath m30x Instead, A little cheeper but For me that is more then enough.
