The above is no longer necessary after the Afterburner beta 19 and NVIDIA 387.92 drives (don't know which fixed it). Now Afterburner correctly detects both the Intel integrated GPU aswell as the NVIDIA discrete GPU.
Hi everybody!! i d like to know if the new msi afterburner (beta 19) allows to enable THE UNIFFICIAL OVERCLOCKING MODE...I HAVE AN R9 NANO AND I CAN T ENABLE THAT OPTION... the beta 19 allows this option now?
Maybe I'm missing something but is there documentation for the new plugins? I can't seem to find it in the install folder. Where do we check on how to add stuff to the config files for HWiNFO or PerfCounter for example?

No problem. Sadly I coulnd’t open HwInfo plugin source code in the SDK, because Martin (HwInfo developer) would like to keep HwInfo shared memory layout private. But AIDA and PerfCounter are fully open source and HwInfo plugin is internally very similar to AIDA (shared memory interpretation principle is the only difference). So analyzing AIDA plugin will give you understanding of both AIDA and HwInfo plugins.
I would like to report that my changes (clocks, volts, etc.) won't stick when I hit apply on beta 19. I enabled extended overclock limit and restarted my computer, but got the same results. Windows 10 (RS3) 1709-16299.19 Afterburner 4.4.0 (beta 19) AMD 17.40 (beta) Edit: I rolled back to 17.10.1 (beta) and everything works fine. 17.40 (beta) has to be the worst driver in months.
I didn't know where to report it and thought I was doing you a favor. I thought this was the right venue for it and again everything works great on beta 19 with the older driver.

Hey Uniwinder, just wanted to get your opinion on this. So Afterburner is putting out 3.9Ghz for CPU clock under full load, while Task Manager is displaying 3.88Ghz. Sometimes Task Manager will even show 3.85Ghz while Afterburner is still showing 3.9Ghz. Where is Afterburner drawing that info from? Could it be a potential bug or just a limitation? CPUID's CPU-Z also seems to show the same clock as Afterburner. Is it Task Manager that is in the wrong here?
That's normal. Task Manager is displaying your CPU clock wrong. Happens on my systems as well. Windows' Task Manager isn't quite as accurate as CPU-Z, MSI AB and such. It reports overclocked frequencies wrong a few 50 MHz or so.
