I've switched over and it does run a lot smoother than stable (with the occasional freeze when having +10 open tabs) but I'm sure they will fix that or people will end up having to use Chrome.

Finally, fixed my broken LP that hasn't worked properly for months, no autofill, kept logging me out, no saved sites to manually fill credentials, only had access to my vault, wish I'd seen this when you posted it lol

    Thanks!

Everything is super fast 5482328 but resuming paused YouTube videos takes forever (having to stare for 5-30s at the loading bar) and it's even worse when doing so while trying to record a video with ReLive, which ends your recording as you hit the YouTube play button (image freeze and only records audio past that point) could this be a simple AMD driver issue or perhaps something deeper?

Not that I'm aware off, only using AdBlock Plus at the moment.

I forgot to mention that I'm running on Firefox (57.0b8) Quantum (beta).

Try switching to uBlock Origin, better blocker all round anyway and doesn't allow ads through like adblock

Does anyone know how to change the 'white background before web page loads' to black? I use the Dark Mode add-on but before a web page loads, a white background is shown.

Finally found a better overview of changes for the beta build of Firefox.

This doesn't really tell all that much after all.

    This does. :)

Good to finally find a better overview of this without having to go into Bugzilla or similar and dig up changes.\

Also covers the nightly builds (v58) but that's per day, the above are the final changelog (Current for b9 as it was just released.) between every beta update of v57 for a better overview of the changes and fixes applied since it was released to public. :)

It wouldn't end the firefox process in task manager, and would make the machine a bit laggy for some things while it hung, like right clicking the desktop wouldn't show the context menu for a good 5-10 seconds while it was hanging

Then eventually it would end but bring up the FF crash report dialogue box

That would happen every single time I closed FF56

    Fixed in 56.0.2

Asking about this for my parents, but have any of you guys had issues playing Netflix in Firefox? So far I've tried version 49, 52, 56, 56.0.1, 56.0.2 and beta 11 with no luck. I think it has to do with the DRM crap, since it says it's installed but doesn't work. If you turn it off and back on it stays forever updating and still doesn't work. I've tried countless troubleshooting ideas that I can think of with no luck so my Mom is currently watching Netflix on her iPhone 5S's tiny screen.

netflix works here for me play drm content has to be enabled though. if it was previously off you might have to enabled and wait bit for to download the plugins and restart firefox for to work though
