I was concerned about hardware issues too but it only happens with this driver. Hasn't happened before, hasn't happened since I got rid of it. I'll keep an eye open, if it starts happening more I'll know there's something more going on, but for the time being its been localized to just this scenario.

Well downed Evil Within 2, had a quick go, and yes indeed, the 16.3s run it fine, got it @Ultra, @1440p, and it runs as good as the first one, which ran fine for me. :)

all I wanted to do was play a game today but amd drivers vsr decided that no matter what that 3200 x1800 was going to be stretched to 21:9 instead at 16:9

reinstallng drivers and monitor finally got it working 16:9 and then my monitor tells me its actually 2560x1440.....

and then when I went back to native resolution it was telling, that I wasnt using my native resolution

I dont know whats real anymore................o_O
    I blame windows 10.

edit: I think I got it working right now...
still hell of a day. and to think friday the 13th went well for me. today the 14th, not so much...

With these drivers I'm unable to record with ReLive in HEVC, only AVC can be selected. Reverting back to 17.9.3 fixes the problem. OBS works no problem with HEVC.

Can anyone confirm the deletion of windows printers after running the 17.10.1's uninstaller? Thanks.
It happens to me under W10 15063.674 with a RX480. It would be nice to find more info before reporting, as only a couple of people complained on the official forums.

On page two there's only my previous post about it. That's why I asked input from other guru3d members.

On a hunch, as I regularly have my video card hooked up to both my primary monitor (DVI) and my bedroom tv (HDMI), I unhooked my tv from the video card and installed these drivers again. I've been able to start and play all of my games without my system hard shutting down. I'm obviously going to test this a little more, but so far things are working fine.

If this is indeed the culprit, what might this suggest? Graphics card issue?

Ah okay, narrowed it down more. A couple conditions. If my Windows settings are set to duplicate displays, and in Radeon settings I make my DVI monitor the primary display, I'll crash. If I have the HDMI set as my primary display, or disable the hdmi display, then things will be okay.

My AMD ReLive experience so far with my RX 580:

    • As soon as I start recording in VR and do a few alt-tabs it will bluescreen.
    • Firefox issues when recording (freezing video with continuous audio) 5482307.
How to solve my problem: remove AMD ReLive from my system.

This Beta driver is 23.20.768.9, and the WU driver I have is later.

I had to revert back to this beta driver on RS3 from 17.40 (beta) because that driver gave me loads of YouTube flickering, black screens and fans spinning faster than usual.
