Hi, Every time I try to add Forza 7 I get this message, "You don't have permission to open this file." I already took ownership of the entire File and Folder structure and tried to start RTSS as admin, but i still get the error. I already googled and couldn't really find anything specifically for RTSS. Btw, i get the same error trying to add Forza7 to the nvidia control panel. Windows 10 x64 all updates RTSS 7 beta 26
You're right, it's not the fault of RTSS, I just personally have never encountered this error message in RTSS before. It's just weird because I have already taken ownership of the file, but RTSS still gives me the error message. Well, I followed this guide. Is that not correct? If required, I can provide screenshots showing that my user account is indeed an admin, has ownership of the file and has full control rights. I've tried switching ownership to administrator or my account specifically, but RTSS always shows the same error no matter who owns the file/folder. I'm pretty sure the guide worked btw, because before I wasn't even allowed see the files in the folders, now I can see and modify them, but RTSS for some reason can't access it, with or without admin rights.
You're trying to browse folders of UWP applications. You CANNOT do it, they are sandboxed and hidden from users. And no, you cannot just take ownership to break into sandbox.
Well, you can use ownership to browse the folder but you will get a permission error when trying to open a file in such folder.
Ah, I see. Sorry I didn't know UWP Apps were special like that. Does the global RTSS profile work for UWP games?
