Not trying ARMS? Btw, i have pre ordered Splatoon 2 and get really excited for the single player campaign. I am wondering what happened to the Agent no 3 since we are playing as Agent number 4. :wanker:
Anyone try the splatoon 2 one day, 4 hour demo (gotta love Nintendo lol)? Wondering how it compares to the original?
No idea, but, between me and my lad, we played the full 4hrs. It came down to me having to have a chat with my lad about choosing between ARMS or S2 last month and we came to the decision that it would be S2. I think the only thing missing on the Switch vs Wii U version is that the Switch version is 1-player only (can't play with 2 players on 1 console).
Stories like these make me think having a kid would be fun. I like the idea of gaming with your boy. Good stuff. Glad you guys got a chance to play.
It is fun Actually, last Thursday was sports day and my lad got a 1st in sprint and 2nd in egg n spoon race. I entered dads race at the end and got 3rd place, so, between us we got 1, 2 and 3 lol. My lad takes after me, he's highly competitive and wants to beat me at every game lol. Connect 4 and matching pairs on ipad are 2 of our most competitive games outside of Nintendo and PC. We also play football and basketball and he's been boxing for 1yr and is going to a proper gym soon. Loads of ways to have fun with your kids tbh. It's a journey for both of us and I get to do it all again with his 3yr old brother lol.
I'll have to check it out. The friend I sold my switch to sold it back to me lol. He got bored with it as well. And knowing Metroid Prime 4 is coming eventually, I was willing to buy it back. Between Splatoon 2 and Mario Odyssey hopefully there's enough to keep me interested for a while.
Now Square Enix is working really closely with Nvidia on the PC port of it, so one would assume the Switch being Tegra powered, at least the engine even a stripped down version of the game would be doable on the Switch? Would take a lot of caching for area load ins, but developers are known to do some tricks to lesser hardware.

Mario + Rabbids is one of my favorite Switch titles. The game on paper shouldn't work, but it does in wonderful fashion.
I'm no fan of rabbids, or how the story starts (hope we dont get that cringey inventor back) but it is a genuinely good game so far. Also the music is pretty solid, make by the man who did all of the Rare stuff in it's golden era
Nintendo direct Including xenoblade 2, some pokemon stuff, DOOM and Wolfenstein 2 on switch, project octopath travellers and others
Yeah, Doom and Wolfenstein 2. lol! (actually looks ok). Activision missed the boat this time. However, I'm sure they'll join the party next year. Mario Odyssey looks awesome, I can't wait to see my kids faces playing it!
https://www.polygon.com/2017/9/21/16344544/doom-nintendo-switch-gameplay-preview Some gameplay of Doom on the Switch. The big difference, Doom on the Switch runs at 30FPS. But this was the mobile mode, not the docked mode. Most likely will still run at 30FPS, but still pretty awesome considering you can Doom it up on the couch or at the park!
Steamworld Dig 2 came out yesterday on eshop (and today on pc, next week ps4/x1). It's pretty good so far, more exploration and longer than the previous.
