Wondering if (or when someone will do it) you can take the bios from the liquid edition and flash it on a regular Vega 64 without tripping any of the security checks.

Right now it's impossible. Vega still in Beta, and BIOS tampering is not avaible ATM

Sapphire Vega 64 liquid cooled owner here. Ask me anything lol...

Stable at 1837 Mhz on stock voltage. What I find very interesting here is increasing memory clocks far outperforms GPU clocks. This is likely due to throttling on the GPU core but not the memory. In both tests power profile was set to custom and +50% power limit. That first score is memory set to 1100Mhz with no increase in voltage. The second is 1837mhz core and the third is stock.

*bonus overclocked and overvolted Fury X score.

Compare some of the GTX 1080 overclocked scores here: https://forums.evga.com/GTX-1080-FT...t-your-GTX-10701080-scores-here-m2513575.aspx

Looks like its still a performance winner by even the most massively overclocked 1080s

Interesting, so memory overclocking your Vega will yield more fruit. This may prove that AMD boned on the memory clock settings for their reference cards, and opens up the AIO setups.

More than likely you're just seeing the clock bug where it's not showing the right one.

Both of those are within margin of error so it's very likely it's not 1837.
Since that clock would require LN2 according to buildzoid.

You were right it was a clock bug. Here is a latest. The boost clocks could only hang around 1783mhz accord to GPUz logs. This is with 1100 Memory.. 8454 GPU score is decent.

    8.5k TS? lolZ -> That's great score indeed :)
Try to run at 1.106v and POW at -12%
and show me the score & HWinfo tW for default vs my UnderVolt

  8. Well you can't really believe GPU frequency VEGA driver API is reporting(that includes GPUZ). Hopefully AMD will fix that, even undervolting works only so-so with latest drivers. But if it really is 1780/1100, then you've got one of the best VEGA64 chips. Most VEGA64s crash at 1700-1750 and not every HBM2 can reach stable 1100. So very nice score. GJ.

ps. Do you have equipment to check real VCORE or at least power consumption at PCIE cables? Coz what I've seen is weird behavior, where drivers increase vcore while overclocking even though they report stock 1.2v. It was increasing up to 1.3v with power consumption going over 410W.

I pretty sure the older drivers, even the 17.8.1 driver doesn't report or apply the clocks on either the core or memory correctly. Yesterday I was happily benching 1745/1050 with a 1060mv undervolt. Today on the new driver, same settings wouldnt bench, tried 1700/1050 still wouldnt bench and finally got it benching successfully at 1650/1000 with a 24900 Firestrike graphic score. Oddly, thats 400 points higher than someone that benched 1980/1100 on an earlier driver.

I'm not sure I'd believe in some of these much higher clocks, I reckon 1700/1050 will be a great chip.

How is the fan noise on the air RX VEGA guys?

    With everything default while gaming?

I search for a youtube video, but nothing came up sadly, i really like the desing of the limited edition, but im afraid of the noise.

    Thanks!

  11. RX is slightly worse. But I'd also be afraid of the coil whine which you can hear at the end of the video:

would just like to mention, it appears you can flash a liquid cooled rx vega 64 vbios to a reference air cooled rx vega 64, but you can't flash an FE liquid cooled bios to an RX card.

    https://www.reddit.com/r/Amd/comments/6w5lnn/successful_flash_of_vega_64_liquid_bios_onto_vega/

also , apart from a timings mod, i think that the Softpowerplay tables are almost as good, Was able to apply a voltage past vbios limit on an rx 560 and achieve 1450mhz (before it hit 85c anyway) by modifying the dword on a card that lacks voltage controller support in third party utilities, Vega may also have hbm voltage control in the powerplay table from what i have read on the ocn vega bios thread, if it is used by the driver(which is possible since the driver does use hbm dpmstates unlike fiji) then 1200mhz hbm might not be far off without a vbios mod at all.

whats timing bug that invalidates the score and screws up the cpu readout.

does anyone have any valid scores?

    http://www.3dmark.com/fs/13477569
stock with ram at 1000 +50 on power and fans ramped up on an a vega 64 air.
    http://www.3dmark.com/spy/2286577

now that is tweaked a little more 1060 on the ram and tried 1700 as amax clock of course it throttled.

takeaway from pretty much everything is cool these pigs down even stock settings will give better results.

as for the totally invalid scores ...sorry not taking any of those :) hell if i turn off tessalation i,m quite sure i will score big
