Looks like they follow M$$$ order66: Only Win10 will prevail.

"Note that AMD is no longer supporting Winddows 8/8.1 with newer RX 400 and 500 series (and also upcoming RX Vega). When asked about this, AMD provided the following statement: "With the declining use of Windows 8.1 we have focused our efforts on providing the best experience on the operating systems that the vast majority of our users are now using.
Although we no longer officially support Windows 8.1, users can try the Windows 7 driver on an "as-is" basis."

On Win 8.1 you need skills to install both drivers&RadeonSettings from Win7 drivers. :knock:
On Win7 i miss the detalied Task Manager.

The IT industry go wrong with M$ Win10 and Intel only Core era.

No "chill" options in my setup (295x2 + 290 tri-crossfire).

MSI AB, WattTool and other applications using AMD's official Wattman overclocking API will require update to get working with 17.7.2 drivers again. Updates will be available once AMD refresh their SDK.
Temporarily, unofficial overclocking mode in MSI AB and Trixx (uses unofficial path by default) seem to be working.

Relax and wait for later drivers.

Remember wattman in the first driver?

Exactly. People started having panic but I think they just have to wait. I remember that WattMan was unavailable for the few weeks but then they released it for all GCN cards.
Maybe we, Polaris user, are just beta testers and they wanted to know that enhanced sync is ready to be released for all GCN cards?

Many features doesn't work for me on Win7 64bit with RX480. No enhanced sync option, no ReLive, no color settings.. I guess installer is broken, installation is so much longer. I see at reddit it's common issue under Win7.

I'm disappointed with drivers first time since I bought Radeon.

The drivers are not the problem, all those features work nice in windows 10, its time to upgrade.

No, thank you. There is Win7 support so it should work. ReLive works just fine with 17.7.1 so something is wrong with new version.

Wattman to this date is broken on older cards and new ones alike.

Check out GamerNexus' VEGA FE Review.

Wattman is working fine here on R9 290.

    What exactly is broken?

Yup it's a shame, but i might have solution for this:

We need to copy over Wattman from 17.7.1 into SysWOW64 !
IMO we will be very happy with performance on this one.

    :book:

    PS.
Please keep it cool, they seems to not replicate all systems through testing (Yes our Fury is among them lolZ)
But glad to hear that is not Custom tMOD BIOS related :)

    PS. for @PrMinisterGR
Please point me into .dll's that are responsible for WattMan (new one is unable to OC some GPUs)

Oh, thanks, I guess they updated the bios list recently, now I see lot of RX 580 models there, included the Sapphire Nitro+ 4GB.
I've downloaded the bios, but I think I will mess with it after the summer. :)

I tried Strixx, but MSI AB offers a better package for me. Relive works like a charm when I use it (rarely).
