Maybe 4-Way SLI is your problem.

After all there is no support for it.

Put exe and ahk files into the game executable folder and change your game link (desktop or steam) for that one.

I believe i noticed this first with Grand Theft auto V. Strange issue, Double buffering unless you do the old window/fullscreen switch-ah-roo which results in triple buffering?. Now it only activates if you turn off then on vsync in gta v.

 

Good to know that I am not alone. This was worrying a bit.

changing nothing but driver performance loss is huge

chagin 6 diferente bios, settings loading defalts new windows every thing remains the same SLI is dead on this 384 branch

it does no use the gpus %

Cant really find anything wrong with these drivers other then I seen missing textures in swtor, but I think that just game it self

More and more users have the problem its a X299 BUG but its on driver side

Nvidia Manuel Guzman says its Vbios , like me other users reverting back to other driver branch fixes the problem so nvidia needs to Fix this problems on X299 its a bug on Nvidia side

X99 had same problem on release

Manuel pass this to driver team please.

So far no blackscreen in firefox, maybe it was some security flaw issue, those that are fixed now? Idk, im still at old official FF54 and all ok atm.


Well 384.76 was ok too at first, 2weeks, then out of blue 2-3 in a row each day for 2 days until I upgraded to this whql..
For example when I upgraded to HF 384.80 I got them 5min later, returned to 384.76 and nothing since until 4 days ago

After so many hours of fun with firefox finally got my first black screen, but it took practically 2 days of constant use to got one, so practically this issue is really unusal to get.

 

Just to verify the issue. The last 2 days my NVCP has been fine. This morning I booted it up...gone again...had to restart the Nvidia Display Container LS service in services.

So it definitely seems to be registry related with the driver. As mentioned before I did use DDU and I even tried Nvidias' clean install. No change.

Everything else works fine mind you.

Nah, it's game vs drivers.

I have successful ALT-TABS in say D3, then other times I get minor graphic corruption.

Also I found it depends heavily on what you are ALT-TABBING to when glitches occur. It's all compatibility stuff.

The only issue with 3 and 4 way SLI is it's not officially supported for performance gains. You won't get spectacular scaling like most think. It will be there, but not in huge amounts. Benches more than games.

 

So noticed the telemetry tasks that are installed by installing GFE are not installed by my method of unpack drivers and manual run setup like usual, but these drivers have new service for telemetry which not issue I just disabled the service

 

Yes SLI has issued indeed for me under 384. I have success with 384.76 but 382 works perfectly fine. No need to switch screen modes in Prey as well. Definitely some issue with the newer drivers.

Just do the minimalistic install with 2 folders.

Been doing this as well recently, and everything just work as before.
