So, i've been wanting to upgrade to a r5 1600/b350/16gb build but don't know which RAM i should buy with which mobo. Can anyone recommend me a b350 board between £70-100 and a 16gb ram set under £140 that will do 3200mhz on that board? If not, then please let me know your best recommendation.
This will do it : Awesome motherboard for the price This motherboard ASRock AB350 Pro4 it is exactly the same 100% as the ASRock Fatal1ty AB350 Gaming K4 , but without the fancy Fatal1ty name brand , the fancy red lights , red motherboard theme and the higher price. https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157761 Recommended 3200Mhz 2x8GB kit of Ram - Samsung B-die Ram speeds at 3200Mhz and very low timings like this one G.Skill kit 3200Mhz at Cas 14 is confirmed Samsung B-die and the ones that i am using right now and tested on a few motherboards, used and tested on my ASRock Fatal1ty AB350 Gaming K4 motherboard and ran perfectly well at 3200Mhz without a problem as well on my Asus CH 6 Hero , highly recommended and a must buy if you want reliability and zero , 0 , nada problems. The price is higher than expected , but it is the cheapest Samsung B-die Ram kit available at the moment anywhere. The price to pay for this ram kit is well worth it. https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820232217&ignorebbr=1 Couple that with your new 6 core 12 thread Ryzen 1600 and you will have a beast of a PC future proof for years to come !
Thankyou. Are you sure this will work? I don't particularly like the aesthetic of this motherboard.. the "pro" bit on it. Why did you select this board in particular, is it known to be better for the 3200 ram? Is the Gaming k4 just as good? https://www.amazon.co.uk/ASRock-AB350-GAMING-K4-AB350-Gaming/dp/B06WWC7C1D Thanks again
Yes it will work. I selected that mobo because of the price and overclockability + able to run Samsung B-die at DDR4-3200Mhz. The ASRock fatality Gaming K-4 is exactly the same motherboard as i have already stated on my last post , hence it is just as good. Good luck with your choice , enjoy it and don' forget to post your findings or if you need help on the sticky thread for Ryzen: http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?t=412876
