I loved my ROG G20 Desktop, but i had to do something about the idle GFX card temps.. so i built a completely new rig out of the main components: Starting rig: ASUS ROG G20CB-DB71 (with a GFX card upgrade) *came with a core i7 6700 *came with 16GB of DDR4 RAM (laptop sized RAM) @2133 * GTX 1080 FE (came stock with an unmarked plasticky GTX 1070 *1TB HDD *Cheapish wired ASUS Mouse/ASUS red-backlit keyboard *dual powerbrick (one @180 and the other @230) NEW NZXT S340 white build (i love the S340 for cable management alone plust its smexxy) *SAME Core i7 6700 from the G20CB *New ASUS Z270F Gaming Motherboard with Aura Sync *New Gskill TridentZ RGB DDR4 16GB (2x8) RAM @3200 *SAME GTX 1080 FE that i upgraded my ROG G20 with *SAME 1TB HDD from the G20 BUT with a NEW Sandisk 240GB SSD PLUS *NEW Thermaltake SMART 700W PSU *Same ASUS Keyboard but with a Logitech G602 Wireless Mouse Cons of this new build: I really am sad that i am no longer using a small form factor desktop rig.. it was highly convenient to use and move around. with my new build I lost my on board wifi/bluetooth functionality coming from the G20CB (had to get a usb 3.0 wifi adapter and will be getting a bluetooth dongle as well soon) Pros: My GTX 1080 FE doesnt sit at 84C under load anymore. (no more thermal throttling). and everything runs noticeably faster and more stable- due to better airflow and better components Just a beautiful rig to look at with Minimal RGB lighting and sleek cable management and beautiful components. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Grats on the upgrade, looks clean! I used to put stickers on my cases some years back but nowadays they make me cringe. Nevertheless it looks slick :thumbup: What kinda mods you planning on doing?

I plan on actually getting an EKWB X360 kit. and a different PSU, although im not quite sure what PSU i want to go with.. i want one with a really good stability and it has to be modular. not concerned about the color of the PSU (but if i had to say it would be white and black like my current one.)... I plan on getting my case hydro dipped with some destiny 2 concept art. I actually REALY want to make this a Destiny/D2 themed build. so Maybe red, white, and other colors from the Tower (think crucible, lord shaxx) or maybe even Iron Banner themed with green gold and white with Wolf emblems..
