I was talking namely about old HW at work. It was DELL PC with P4 (no HT) with pre-installed Linux originally. I remember I was trying to install P4D and some newer CPUs with HT but failed, and later I discovered that chipset was the one specially limited to one core CPUs.
Vista was noticeably slower then Windows 7 on that grandpa. And it was Vista with service packs against young toddler Windows 7.

Everyone who isn't upgrading their OS has no idea about how computers work.

Uh, but how do I install Win 10 on my P60 rig? It has nowhere near 1GB of ram in it let alone a HD (250MB) large enough to install it on. IDE & ISA for the win.

    Sorry, could not resist.

EDIT: BTW How is one able to install a floppy drive on a current rig? Miss that dancing baby.

I used it with SP2 and DX11 patched. I love the older 98/XP Classical User Interface. It's a shame they didn't make USB 3.0 xHCI drivers for it.

Now Windows 7 SP1 = XP SP3 the undying 64 bit OS hopefully.

We just need someone to crack the DX12 and make a patch for Windows 7. :)
