CP never worked properly on win10, they are trying to force their GFE upon us.

I have been on Win10 since before it was released and I have never not had the nvidia control panel work.Op should do a fresh install of Win10.

Is this issue occurring on a clean install of Win10?

Same issue for me, happens randomly. Using latest driver. Clean Winbloze install. Restarting windows fix issue temporarily.

I'm not surprised that the NV control panel doesn't work. It needs an update (last major update was in what 2004? And that was only to move to .NET). not only does it crash with the ever changing features of Windows 10, but it also can't scale properly on High DPI screens and sometimes it doesn't even detect my SLI unless I reboot twice.

Is there any way to duplicate this issue, as i have never had this.

Not saying people are lying, but people have a habit of breaking an OS/driver without realising.

I do agree that the NVCP is old and awful and needs to be replaced though, but it's no worse on W10.

    .
It worked with 378.92 but the first 381 driver had that issue. 381.65 or whatever. Stick with 378.92 if you're on the creator's update for a while.

The nvidia SEDONA user interface is designed to be modular and allow components to be added and changed without completely rewriting it.

it does NOT use C# or dotnet (you're thinking the bloated CCP, and/or GFE)

It does NOT crash just changing settings - there are some buffer issues in where long path strings are concerned, but it is generally rock stable.

the NVCP has nothing to do with sli detection: your kernel is in an incorrect state (these things happen when you cache parts of it)

DPI is the only valid argument you have made.

OP: the issue is caused by a hung Display Container, there should be 2 running and on windows 7 thru 10 there is an (since 38x) chance that the container hosting the nvXDSync functionality is not because the main service has not started correctly at boot.

Just powered on my PC first time for today, context menu is missing nvidia panel option.
    Restarted PC and it's back.

Yeah and that the main service not started correctly is caused by the new greator update, i never had this before.

So either nvidia or ms should fix this soon.
