We already have had rumors about AMD licensing their Radeon IP to Intel. Now, there have been rumors about an unannounced product from Intel: a Kaby Lake G series which would mark Intel’s re... Kaby Lake G Series Processor Info Surfaces
I say just make it for the hell of it, would love to see a cpu design from intel and amd on one package but for desktop please.
So wait, how would you determine the die size if each part of the die is different sized? The average? 22+(14*2)+(10*2)/5=14nm
In that case people simply do not upgrade. The ones who do are those who have really old CPUs generally... but just look at how many still have a 2500K/2600K. At least this time AMD has some viable alternatives, so Intel can't really rest on its ass anymore.
Could this mean graphics performance that doesn't completely suck when I remove my laptop from the power plug? One can only hope.
HardOCP is reporting that the GPU in this chip is a part of a rumored licencing deal between AMD and Intel.
This so stupendously ignorant I don't even know where to start.. Also your so completely and utterly wrong it's blowing my mind.
Phenom schould be faster no? actually I thought it said core 2 quad I am sorry about that. Intel is faster then?
Yeah. I just did a built for a friend; after market 2600(non-K), 16gig of DDR3 and one 1060 GTX. That bad boy can do +80fps on BF1 Ultra 1080p. I could not believe it. :3eyes: The 2600 perform really well, even today.
300FPS? It may be sufficient but performance can be lacking in many titles especially if you have a 1080 or SLI
This is Intels "Apple Chip" for their laptops etc... Intels Graphics literally sucks balls, and Apple knows that (so does Intel...). Apple can't be having two chips on their Motherboard, due to space and power consumption, and Heat dissipation. That means any intel CPU is basically out. Intel not wanting to lose any of the Market share Apple has (and the money they pay), to AMD, they are doing their best to create a new CPU+GPU chip. It had better not be Intel based Graphics, that would just suck so bad (but Intel are good at that in the GPU division). Canard PC had a bit about it in their magazine (the one with the Ryzen preview), and they seem quite sure its an AMD GPU. AMD would just supply the dies to be integrated on the MCM's. It'll only be a couple of years until Apple has a 100% internal made CPU/GPU for their whole lineup.....so the Intel/AMD chips isn't going to last (if it shows its head at all...)
2500/2600 non-k are probably showing their age, k-model OCed at 4.5+ ghz however, are still pretty competitive.
i think it is safe to say if you still rocking a 2600k or especially a 2500k you do not aim for 1080 sli ....at least that is what my logic says
