It won't happen the very nature of this forum is mostly always people who have issues

You see them and think you will have them too, not the case imo

When I see 10 people reporting the exact same issue, rather than assuming that they are all novices who don't know what they are doing, I assume the issue is real and exists. I certainly am experiencing the UVD bug myself and if I see anybody confirming that it still has not been fixed in a new driver, I skip that driver.

Needless to say, I couldn't care less about ReLive, Chill or Wattman, while I use Afterburner on a daily basis, and the ReLive drivers breaking compatibility with Afterburner and other OCing tools is very real as confirmed by Unwinder, so I have no reason to bother with the new ReLive drivers while I have every reason to skip them all together unless the majority of posts I see here confirm that at least these two issues have been fixed.

Back to 16.11.5, 17.1.1 pushes my vrm to 65 degree celcius without reason while using chrome for example...

Can we ban AMD from the market please? They are noobs. I can't wait to change to Nvidia with Pascal Refresh.:bang:

Hmm, that's good news for me and others (RX 480 / Fury) but I do hope they fix it for all with their next driver release.

Its annoying to face these nagging bugs that hinder the user's card from performing correctly

"Display corruption or TDR may be experienced after applications wake up from a display timeout."
For me that bug is not fixed. Often my monitor show a "white noise" after coming back from sleep for 2 seconds, then return normal.
    Anyone with the same problem?

They still seem to be missing/broken here. I decided to see how well the Windows calibration settings could do the job, and they did what I needed, so you might give those a try.

I'm gonna try these drivers tonight to see how it goes.
With crossfire 7970. I usually have good luck.
I don't think I've ever downloaded a set of bad drivers that I had to revert to older ones.
Plus if I have issues I can always voice it to AMD technical support. To show that we actually exist. lol

    Hey Unwinder... good morning mate.
I have a question about AB. I did a clean install of win 10 home a few days ago. Installed 16.12.2 and AB. Memory voltage of my GPU is at 1.5 @ default and i some times change it to 1.6v. My problem is that the first time i did this after windows setup, the voltage locked @1.6v and it doesn't go back. It's always locked no matter what i do.
Uninstalled AB, Uninstalled drivers with DDU and installed 16.11.5. Tried with AB again but no luck. Back to 16.12.2 with or without AB voltage still locked 1.6.
Do you have any idea? It might be win 10, i know, but i don't feel ready for another windows installation... On win 8.1 it works like it should.

    I tested the driver...

    Tomb Raider (2013) runs fine.
Grid Auto Sport - Runs Fine
Dirt 3 Complete Edition - Runs Fine
The Witcher 2 enhanced edition - Runs Fine
Bioshock 2 Remastered - Runs Fine - No Crossfire but i get 120+ FPS with a single card

Aliens Isolation - Runs but with Crossfire I have to enable vsync or else there are ULPS issues

Shadow of Mordor - Runs Fine - Did not test crossfire without vsync but in past drivers vsync ingame was required for crossfire.

Skyrim Special Edition - Runs - Still No crossfire - would help if it existed - I get 100% GPU useage on 1 card - am severely GPU limited.

Civilization V - Runs - No On Screen Display from After Burner. I think I need to update After Burner

Devil May Cry Reboot - Runs - No On Screen Display from Afterburner - probably an updated Afterburner would be good

No ULPS issue for me in games that I could check with MSI Afterburner except Aliens Isolation and that issue was in past driver. Fix was vsync

I can test more games but its getting late and its probably fine.

Gigabyte Radeon 7970 Windforce 3x OC 1000 mhz crossfire

I would like to test ReLive to see if it works but maybe in the future.

I also have a 390 and tried these 17.1.1 and got the exact same temperature as 16.5.2. Playing BF1 VRM temperature was around 55cº with both drivers.

Your result is a bit strange.

Not that I checked it before but my VRM temp is 34/35 celcious now with doing nothing.

Seriously gonna cry about 65c load on vrm which is way, way, way under VRM limit.

My 290x vrm2 was always 63c. No matter what driver. Using Chrome or EDGE.
And that was with driving 3 monitors and Vram speeds always at 1500mhz.

Maybe you can go green and dribble your non sense over there.
