Really getting into this. Best i have played since Witcher 3.

Seems to be a mistake as I can't find anything new at all?

 

Man HR was A LOT better than this MKD sequel, in my opinion.
Not liking this game near as much as I did HR. HR sucked me in, this not so much.
So far, this story is not very good at all. Its, well, it just feels kind of bland.
Not a bad game though. If that makes sense.

 

Story never goes anywhere im afraid.
Like i said earlier it's just.. more Deus Ex, if you like the HR moment to moment play, then MD is fine, but if you seek story.. well, maybe it's a DLC, never know with this publisher. Either that or they cut where the story was meant to go early in development in order to turn 1 story into two games. Again wouldn't surprise me with this publisher, game just doesn't feel complete. Made me feel pretty bad at the end, as if i'd wasted doing all that optional - and rather bland - content early in my playthrough

 

Those patches were to include Pre order Dlc for free to all non pre ordered people.

 

Apparently, that is exactly what happened. Squeenix asked the devs to chop the game in half, as well as add all the micro-transaction rubbish. Devs were not pleased.

 

Yup it's just a 35 hour game with level design that is exponentially better than it's predecessor. Story wasn't great in HR either IMO. So at worst you trade a marginally better story for much better level design and game play. I'll take that trade in any sequel.

Game length is the same in both games btw.

 

My guess is, many people feel it short because you are in Prague most of the time, while older Deus Ex games (HR, DE, even IW) had several different locations. Yep, I do like both HR and first DE better.

 

Yeah, it easily took me the same amount of time, if not more then Human Revolution did.
The only difference is that you are in one city, one hub for the entire game. Only leaving for missions.

While in HR, you had two hubs you visited... and went to many different locations.

For me, Mankind Divided was better then HR because of it's more polished gameplay. And, I loved the setting.
The small changes you could see in Prague as you left and came back. Showed how the world was changing due to the rising conflicts.

 

I agree. Also I felt the side missions were better tied to the storyline in MD than HR.

HR's side missions were more detached although they added depth to the background story just fine.

Imo MD does everything HR did but better.

Granted the ending is a major cliffhanger without any closure but I suppose the Adam Jensen storyline has been made to a trilogy anyhow...
MD really just drops hints as to who are the people behind all this.

Expecting some major plot twists in the next installment.

 

Yeah.
It's no secret that the game was originally going to be larger, and the publisher forced them to basically cut the game in half so they would have another sequel for release much sooner.

But, I still loved Mankind Divided.
Did so many things better then the first, and overall just felt like a more "complete" experience.
But, don't get me wrong, I love Human Revolution. It's a great game and an amazing experience. But, at times, it does feel a bit rushed in some aspects.

 

this game is great an runs better in dx11 then dx12 i just wish the sp campaign was longer

 

One thing which devs changed and which I don`t like - hacking. In HR I did hack everything on my path. Its design was pretty simple, even schematic. But in MD they changed design so much that at first I had troubles to accommodate (especially keyboard shortcuts), and overall that new design averts me from hacking.

 

For all the criticisms I'm actually surprised how well this game runs, for sure there are problematic spots and the engine sometimes struggles (Prague hub) but overall this is beautiful game, backed with great multithreading.
