[solved] Color management issue on Crimson 15.30.1025 []

    Hello,

I got an issue when i upgrade form 15.7 beta to the latest crimson version i found on amd website.

Before explaining what's going wrong in my case, a little context:
I own 2 HD 7700 which i use to get 4 screen working (2 screen per card, both using DVI). Screens are positioned in a square for (2 screen above the other 2).

As all this screen are too bright for me, I change the brightness and contrast.
But because the screen can not be as darker as i want (brightness already at 0, contrast at 30), i have to finish this job using dektop color feature of CCC.

Everything worked nice until i install Crimson driver.
    Now:
    1. this feature is activated at start only after i open the advanced parameter of Radeon parameter.
    2. This feature can only restore the last parameter saved for all the screen. Or I use different value according to screen position:
    For the 2 up screen: brightness -> 0, contrast -> -30
For the 2 bottom screen: brightness -> 70, contrast -30
So when i restart all screen use the same value.

I fill a support request here: amdsurveys .com/se.ashx (can't post link yet)
Can someone confirm that issue ?
Is there another workaround without installing a third party software (ie another program to do this job) ?

(sorry for the bad english, this is not my native language)

    15.11.1 (15.30.1025.1001-151129a-...) doesn't solve that issue :wanker:

Is it possible to just reinstall CCC from previous version without uninstalling the whole driver ?

As i can't support the fact to do it manually each time i start my computer, i reinstall the CCC from catalyst 15.8 beta.
    And it simply works.
    * I got the customized value for each screen as i want for each one of them
    * No need to start CCC manually to get the color management applied.

I have the same problem with crimson.
Just install from 15.11.1 only CCC and it will be in Tray and everything will be working, but drivers are from Crimson ;-)
I have to do Gamma correction in desktop + Games (too dark for me, i don't have LCD)

Has someone already test these bugs against crimson 15.12 ?

16.1 still doesn't fix that issue :bang:

I allow myself to bump such an old thread, but i just upgrade my driver to relive version (16.12.1) and it seems, they drop completely the luminosity/contrast feature...
Is this a bug or a feature ?

"Feature". You can vote for them to be returned here.

But you really need to vote for Triple Buffering too, otherwise we won't speak to you again. :p

None of that seems to be near of the feature i'm looking for.
And I hope, i don't have to wait for one complete year to see a change...

Have you installed a previous CCC over the crimson relive to access all this feature ?

The Display Color shortcut takes you into the Windows color calibration which works per monitor and is persistent. It isn't as simple as adjusting two numbers, but you get per monitor calibration and correct gamma ramps and it's a one off every time you reinstall Windows really.

I saw that feature, but it's not as simple as the one in previous CCC version, especially if you want to lower luminosity and contrast due to a "large" multi-screen setup (4 screens in my case)

That's Window's way to do that which is considered the "correct" one. You can create one profile for each monitor and even save it so that you don't have to do it again. I wish I could help more.

@PrMinisterGR thanks for your help and for all the stuff you did/do for all ati/amd/radeon users ;)

@OnnA I install ccc 15.11.1 over crimson relive and I got the old CCC working. Thanks for the tip ;)
