I'm waiting till they fix the fps drops while driving, it's pretty game breaking for me it happens way to frequently.

Well, According to PC gamer its a great port and heavily optimized. Running well on a wide range of hardware.

They even comment on sli performance at 4k when the Sli profile DOES NOTHING

I encountered the same last night too, it really depends where you drive around, sometimes it's fluid sometimes the fps drop is really significant.

However...the Textures are really sharp and the Details all together is really amazing.

Once I saw that VW Beetle kinda car and drove around with it...it liked how it slides when you make hard turns...driving in wd2 feels soooo much better and was in the first game really gamebraking for me.

I hope that WD2 will have success as I believe that the next WD could then really come Close to GTA. The Interaction with NPC's is amazing and I love it.

I wish they would add submarines or planes in the next...imagine hack into a learjet with an important Person in it, and re-program the Autopilot to land on the Destination Airport you Need or a small airstrip :)

The only real Problem i have with this game would be MSAA. It's just too much of a Performance hit, so i just use SMAA for now. Now i can play with smooth fps even without temporal filtering, it runs great.

Set Monitor from 'auto' to '60' and vsync off. Reso is 1440p.

If anyone is interested in coop missions just say so.

Yah, I'm with you, the drops are seriously annoying and immersion breaking.

I fixed it by lowering texture quality, apparently it was also a known issue in the previous WD game.

I experienced only 1 hitch while driving but that's it.

Good to know although I'm going to wait for the 1st patch before jumping in. I'm pretty close to ditching SLI in favor of one Titan at the moment so I may wait for that to show up as well.

    Help!

Hi guys, Long time no see!
I need help here with Watch Dogs 2, the only game that crashed on my rig in the latest 5 years.
I started the game with everything maxed and it was ok until I needed to buy the damn trousers. Since then I cant even stay 5 minutes in the game. At first it freezes for 2-3 seconds than it crashes to desktop, even when I stay on spot, just watching the scenery, doing nothing.
After the crashes I lowered some specs with no success, I'm still having the crashes.
My specs are: i74790k @4399mhz on Asus Maximus 7 Hero, with 16Gb TridentX 2400 DDR3 RAM, 2 x Zotac GTX1080 SLI HB (not overclocked) on LG Ultrawide @ 3440 x 1440; Windows 10x64 updated today, nVidia Driver 376.09.

Sure, it would be interesting to see. Thanks!

Just like in the first game? That's a pretty serious issue.

Many ppl are selling their W_D 2 codes they got from buying graphics cards during Black Friday so it's quite possible to get a code for 30€ :)

Damn that new patch this morning I think is causing a memory leak or something with the game fps tanks and windows becomes unresponsive.

I think i had the same issue in WD 1 but not sure.

But i lowered textures, and i don't have lag spikes anymore while driving.

    Update changed SplashScreen.exe, Watch_Dogs2.exe and Disrupt_64.dll

For Easy Anti Cheat it updated the cache files and the certificate (Afterburner compatible now?) and the English license agreements were updated.

    EDIT:

    videos.dat
    patch.dat
    sound_english.dat (0kb, broken now?)

EDIT: And a couple of .dat files for the San_Francisco map itself.

New patch? There is no new Patch. 1.06 will follow a bit later on PC.

Anyone else wish Ubisoft would adopt Snowdrop engine as their official game engine much like EA has Frostbite?

The engine used in The Division? Well it's pretty good alright though Ubisoft's current Dunia engine and Anvil engine aren't that bad either.
(Anvil had a pretty rough update with the release of AC: Unity but it looked pretty spectacular though it had it's shortcomings.)

Not really sure what the Watch_Dogs engine is even called but it's known it's partially a modified Dunia engine.

Watch Dogs Graphics Engine is called "disrupt" so another engine that was actually intendet for Focus on driving mechanics and layed out for exactly what watch Dogs should have become.

WD2 uses a heavily modified Version of this engine. But yes the Snowdrop engine Looks amazing.
