Hi i been trying to figure out how to get my 6670 to display a 4k resolution but it is not working out i dont know how to get it to work with Custom Resolution Utility if anyone can help me out that would be awesome! for now it just displays 1920 x 1080. If there is no way to get it to work ill have to buy a new graphics card but i dont know where to start i am new at this i just want something that will display a 3840 X 2160 (4k@60Hz) resolution with hdmi 2.0 and my budget is pretty tight (under $100). I am running windows 10 and My processor is the AMD FX 4130 Quad core processor, 3800 Mhz, 2core(s), 4 logical Processor(s) and motherboard is Gigabyte GA***8209;78LMT***8209;USB3 and 8GB of ram im not sure about the PSU yet ill have to check later but i think it is a 430w or maybe a 400w will it even be able to handle a small GPU upgrade?. I bought this pc off amazon already built and ready to go, please if anyone can help me choose the right GPU upgrade for under $100 it would help me out alot. I could have picked one myself but i do not want to get the wrong one and break something in my pc so i am asking for your help please. I mostly want to use this for watching 4k movies and youtube and stuff like that in 4k and a little bit of gaming aswell but mostly for movies and videos thank you!

Unfortunately your video card only supports 2560x1600 as its max resolution. It only has HDMI 1.4, not 2.0.
There will be no video card for $100 that will be able to play games at 4k games an any kind of playable frame rates. I think you should save your pennies and hold out as long as you can. Maybe buy a second hand card.

Also for watching 4k movies, there are no UHD drives for computers as far as I am aware. So you are out of luck there also.

In that case if you want new, you will be looking at a GTX 1050 or an RX460.

Used, maybe something like a GTX 950

For watching movies and netflix and youtube 4K , and light gaming at 1080p or below you do not need a brand new graphics card ;) , an used 750Ti will be more than adequate for the job and they are around $80US Dollar and below mark. Here get this one and call it a day :) or as suggested you can get a brand new R 460 for $99 US Dollars.

Zotac 750Ti open box $87US Dollars

    RX-460 2GB VRam Brand New $99US Dollars :

    RX-460 4GB VRam Brand new $119.99US Dollars :
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814131698

I would reccomend the RX-460 4GB VRam if you can afford it , if not 2GB will do just fine for the use you will give this video card. The manufacturer name does not matter Asus , Gigabyte , powercolor do not worry. I hope this helps.

what monitor/tv is it, does it have displayport?,

if i recall correctly the hd 6000 series has partial displayport 1.2 support but has some limitations, using the clock patcher will bypass the soft limit, you should be able to get 4k @ 45 hz with cru + clock patcher+ displayport.

you can also try the clock patcher with hdmi, but I wouldn't count on good result, make sure to have a way of getting into safe mode before attempting any patching aswell.

you can find the clock patcher here

Glad i could help. You will be absolutely fine with a 400w or a 450w psu , no worries this cards use very low wattage.
Guru3D recommend a 350w psu for the RX-460 on their review here:

you could give cru a try but, hdmi is kinda flakey on the 6000 series above 1080p , at least thats what i find. probably best just to get a newish card like a gtx 950 or rx 460 as others have suggested.

Hey bro so i took a look at my PSU and it is the Rosewill RD450-2SB http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...gclid=CJXe9sv_ytACFUeTfgodPmADuw&gclsrc=aw.ds

is this psu good? it is 450w so now im thinking a little more about buying the next step up from the 4 gb rx 460. would that be the RX 470? i mostly want to play world of warcraft (legion) at around ultra or high settings with good fps. i still want to watch 4k videos and movies via youtube and netflix via hdmi 2.0 since my tv does not have a Display port. But will my pc be compatible with the RX 470?
This is what i currently got
    Motherboard- Gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB3
PSU- Rosewill RD450-2SB model number SL-8460BTX
CPU- AMD fx 4130 3800 Mhz
    GPU- Radeon HD 6670
    Ram- (2) Team Vulcan 4gb ddr3 2133 CL10-12-12-31 1.65V
Thanks alot for your help in advance :) im currently looking at http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150776&cm_re=rx_470-_-14-150-776-_-Product
will this be good? is it a pretty good step up from the rx 460 in terms of fps? i wonder if it will even fit it looks big from the picture lol

The wattage isn't the issue, it's the quality.

    It's not a good powersupply.

OEM is solytech(known to make crap ones)

    Personally i would replace it.
