can anyone confirm 100% that adaptive get better frames then optimal? And in what games?
    on i7 4770k, 32gb, 1080- zero differences between them.
on fx8350,16gb,1060- zero differences between them.

GTX 1070 GameRock Premium Edition with latest bios update, stuck at 400mhz. Works fine when using older driver.

Not my MSI Gaming X 1080 (W10 rig). No memory-bug. On my W8.1 rig (980ti) neither.. Multiple people with 1080 report no issues. And my 1080 has micron memory.

Everyone write your Memory chip , Samsung or Hynix or Micron

Mine with Micron have issue with Inno3D 1080 windows 10
But no issue with Hynix 970M to compare windows 10

Rolled Back to 375.76 and BF1 still flickers. So its the patch from Dice that has killed SLI.

Hope they'll finish with Bug adding than fixing...we do not have any new feature or performance upgrade since a lot.
With kepler I will not have any boost anyway, but it's a pity for whom who has bought pascal cards

I have never encountered any problem with optimal power and madVR, and I use it a lot with a lot of different settings.

All 1080s are using Micron as no other vendor produce GDDR5X. This bug has nothing to do with chip vendor, it's more likely limited to the recent Win10 update so those of you who are still on 1511 or haven't installed the last build of 1607 may be unaffected.

AFAIK the only case where Prefer Max Perf. is beneficial is when Adaptive or Optimal don't work as intented for a game (=throttle too much / too often etc.).

When everything works as it should, there shouldn't be any difference between powerplans, except indeed possibly higher temps in Max mode due to GPU running max clocks all the time.

They're good. Just played Quantum break and runs a lot better..

Actually i think its new update and driver forced fast sync that made it happen. + Driver fps v2 60fps limit on top.. literally not a single hickup, apart from minimal 55ish fps drop outside collage with lots od volumetric lights.

Really like this new fast sync option, just needs tiny tweaks to smooth it out to perfection

Nice info, thanks! Meaning to play through QB again soon.

Btw do you use Inspector for framerate limiting? Also I suppose using frameratelimiter with fast sync is somewhat essential?

Yeah nvinspector fps limter.. Never been a fan of it but I tested this limiter again and it runs surprisingly good. Usually i use rtss for it.

Well its not esential, but it can eliminate big fps variations.. e.g. csgo 125fps limit + fast sync is ok, so it doesnt have 180-120-160fps and doesnt feel a bit jittery with unlimited fps and with large fps variations.

Quantum break is 60fps anyway, just a limit on top makes it extra smooth.. try it and tell, i think you will be pleasantly surprised as well :)

Edit: i had normal driver vsync before i update and fastsync made a big difference by smoothness, extra update helped as well but not as much as fastsync.
