it would be nice, in the meantime, you have inspector which is ultra snappy and offers more options. The only time I ever touch nv cpanel is to create custom resolutions after a new driver install.

Forced login to change the smallest thing is enough to put me off GFE and just use inspector.

I don't know about that... But it certainly needs rewrite. It should be possible to filter profiles with input field. The look has stayed the same since, what, way over decade now?

Do you happen to use display that has TN panel? I can't see anything abnormal. Stuff like that is edge cases where 8-bit panels aren't really enough so with cheap TN 6-bit panels those situations can look pretty nasty.

Also make sure you have selected full range in NVIDIA cp for that display.

These hotfix drivers resolved the serious stuttering I was getting in CS:GO.
Thanks for the prompt fix Nvidia/Manuel G.

    G-Sync works fine.

  7. There's plenty of visible banding in that picture.

I thought i'd be opposite. i'm not seeing any drastic color banding on that screenshot, but I am on a 2008 TN screen. the fog in the center of the screen if I squint hard enough, but i've seen much worse.

Rocket League stutters non-stop like my ping is 400+ with the newer drivers. Rolled back to my older drivers and everything is dandy again with games.

    Running a EVGA 1080 FTW.

But, now since rolling back i have the freezing / stuttering desktop / explorer issue.

    Just can't win today.

In that case i will fully move to Inspector cuz i don't need that Epxerience Bloatware on my PC.

I was surfing with phone so now I can take a look with larger screen. Yeah, there's banding but nothing out of ordinary. Doesn't look too bad or very distracting on my screen at least. Since that are is almost like clean gradient, banding is inevitable. 16,7 million colours isn't enough. They could use dithering to make it less distracting. Also if the display has poor gamma curve then it can make this worse.

U should be banned for such a comment, it has nothing to do with the actual problem hes having.

On my 1440p Pls panel its really hard to see the banding aswell.

If someone still hesitating with older card to play Battlefield 1 , don't. With GTX 580@1080p@high settings (no AA or bodys) i got 5x-7x fps, med 8x-1xx fps and at low, 8x-12x fps.

I had to zoom in the picture to see it, it could be 2d smoke sprites breaking it, that dark smoke doesn't have it,well its still 2d sprites and not volumetric..

Check out new Dirt Rally skybox and floating smoke clouds banding y2006  but that's game engine flaw now, they compromised it for faster VR support.. I suggested to make a option for VR optimization and one with old settings, would be good if they noticed.
